"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

This is really pathetic, and want to know if there are any other grand wussies out there like myself.

Went shopping today for a few clothes in a department store. Happened to notice a cute girl working at the nearby cosmetics counter. The more I looked, the more I liked, and as a bonus I noticed she was pretty stacked, too! Hehehe.

So I went home, changed into some nicer clothes, and returned to the store. Was going to go up and talk to her, but no, I totally chickened out. So I go pick up a roasting pan that’s on sale, that I didn’t really need, and took it up to her. “Hey, can I pay you for this, I ask?”

”Sure,” she says, as I pull out my wallet to pay for a damn cooking pot instead of telling her that I really dug her. I made a little chit chat with her about the weather, etc, but when the transaction was complete I just thanked her and walked out.

I’m mentally kicking myself for not saying more, so I walk back into the store and find the young lady. “Excuse me, but I can’t find my receipt” (It was true) She walked over, looked in my bag, and says, “I put it in the bag for you.”

I thanked her and feigned relief, and again I turned and walked away. I don’t know why or how, but each time I was in front of her wanting to say something, I was just unable to. I wanted to say something like, “Would you like to maybe join me for coffee sometime?” But I couldn’t get the damn words out!!! Gee whiz, am I pathetic or what??

As much as I hate this, I think I’m going to have to just take it easy, and instead of approaching her with an expression of interest the same day I meet her, I’ll say hi to her several times, over several days. Give her a chance to get used to me before I hit her with the “Go have coffee with me?” line. I think that might be smart, but I still wish I could just walk up to her the first time I know her and just make my move. ?.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Just go for it before some other guy snags her. If you keep putting it off it will never get done.

also at the same time,

Tell her "Damn cooking pot, says cooking pot on the side, I thought 'cooking' was supposed to mean something" *shrug* "Do you guys carry cooking and cleaning pots?"

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

once ull have to get ur butt up there and step in the air. just a matter of time. i was so scared of heights that i couldn't climb on 5meters jump above pool. once i got up, freaked out, and jumped down :D . same with girls.

u know whats a good practice? invite your female friend that u know for a while for a walk n such, and try practicing on her. u already know her and ur not afraid to flirt with her prolly. i do it all the time, its fun! Im practicing my kino on her, and she likes it and gives it back :D. She backed out now but i think she'll come back eventually for maybe more...

This sh*t doesn't come over night. At least you realise that it's something you want to change. It's a first step, although I would hesitate to tell the woman that you 'dug' her right off the bat.

This is a cold approach and in my experience are the hardest. I actually don't bother with them.....however, if I had noticed she was giving me the eye then I would give it a shot.

I just hate doing too many cold approaches with the express purpose of asking for a number.

if you don’t actually do it, then it wont get any easier. it's not like you're going to read a few books, learn some stuff and all the sudden have confidence. Confidence comes from doing it and actually realizing that nothing bad can happen to you if you do it.

i still freeze up sometimes, Especially if I’m alone, it’s something I got a lot better in but am still working on.

when with friends it's much easier since i have somebody to impress. So sarge with a buddy or two.

go back to the store, and just talk to her. and don’t be a wussy and ask "would you like to maybe get coffee sometime or something....??? please….?" be bold! amuse her a little, make her smile. then be like "listen, when do you get off? We’re getting together for tea and more stimulating conversations"

Never ask her for permission to go on a date, make it a request, say it like it's going to happen. it will make it harder for her to refuse and it makes you look like a take charge guy. as you know... girls find boldness, confidence, and outgoingness very sexy.

Re: Re: I'm such a chicken!!

You thought too much about it. You had to grab the moment when you first saw her.

Don't use any props (ie roasting pan) next time. That way you have don't have an easy excuse not to ask her out next time.

“The 22 Rules That Turned Me From Invisible to Irresistible With Women… Starting Tonight”
