Hi all. I've been gone from these boards for a while now, and I've grown a lot as a person. I just wanted to point something out I've noticed, and maybe you'll disagree...

Where are the women?

Why, in the year 2010, have women just stopped trying? They think they can just put any old rags on to go out in public, and swear every three words, and be on their phone constantly texting and talking on their phones, and guys will still drool over them.

Well, not me. I watch old TV and archival footage a lot, and it seems to me that the 1980's was the last decade when women, in general, put effort into looking like women.

Some say she's a prude. If that's true, maybe I like prudes.

When was the last time you saw a woman who looked or talked remotely like that?

Who actually takes the time to do her hair, and puts on nice clothes?

I guess at this point it's not about taking girls off of pedestals- I guess I have to lower my standards so I can find one to put ON a pedestal.

It's just kinda sad, that's all.

My friend I can see where you're coming from. I come from the Caribbean where American culture has started to erode the quality of females & then I moved to the motherland itself. :

A lot of women regardless of their lack of personality or style will still have a large amount of AFCs hovering over them, due to this they will believe they can score "any" man so they place less effort in what they do & expect looks to carry them.

Yeah. I'm on a college campus, so I'm seeing the wave of the future, and it's not looking good.

The 80s were not all that long ago. How did everything tank so quickly?

Well I'm just going 20 but as far as I can tell the new western laws that are pro-female have played a major role. Women can get by on way less effort. Hell if that were the case for men we'd probably do the same thing.

I go to college campuses all the time for parties and to see friends, and all I see is HOT college girls, wearing anything and everything from short shorts, skin-tight tights, short skirts, and hell even in the winter, they wear skirts with skin-tight tights (I can't believe they aren't freezing in that! lol)

Girls, if anything, are GREAT at dressing during all parts of the day, and as much as I hate what the majority of chicks have become in terms of personality, I will NEVER talk smack about how they dress.......I absolutely LOVE how sexy and cute chicks dress these days.

You're talking out of your hat. I have a Chinese girlfriend. I like her, but I'm not thrilled about how she dresses or her attitude (I've already broken up with her about 3 times, but I'm bored and she's available). More importantly, I don't see any girl that fits my standards enough to want to dump her. I was going with another girl, who I dumped a couple months ago because she didn't take care of herself.

But I don't need to defend myself to you. Lol

I guess if everyone thought the way I did, things would be different. It's not you guys fault- you're a barometer of society. Btw I go to school in the Midwest. Maybe it's different elsewhere. I hope so.

You know, I did some thinking last night. I just posted here to let off some steam, but maybe I am being too judgmental. Last night I walked around and looked at all the passerby and, rather than immediately noticing what was wrong, tried to think of one good aspect about them (just based on appearance).

Instead of looking down on them, I started to see them just as people, like me.

Maybe I've been an arrogant douche who's thought that he's better than everybody else.

Well fortunately girls in college still look good due to their age and metabolism.....but most of the women i encounter running my errands are either dressed like sh*t, overweight, or both. Ill see a looker every now and then but not often.

Its kind of depressing because i wonder if the grass is greener in other cultures where most women at least pride themselves on keeping fit and looking nice. Most of these unkept women I keep running into could easily bump themselves up 3 points on the looks scale if they dropped 20lbs and wore a more trendy outfit.

And I agree with you for the most part, They do dress like homeless people... it's unattractive, and their attitudes are deplorable.

They have no wifey skills, and they don't care to learn them.

I will personally never get married and have children...
