I know because I was one of them. The overthinking. The paralysis. The silent drive home kicking yourself for freezing up. Watching average guys walk away with the girl while you stood there stuck in your own head.

ALL relationships dry up and get old. After you've experienced everything you can experience together, boredom will set in, and with that frustration. If you choose frustration to protect your ego, you will be a slave, you will never be free.

Why are you worried? Because you think you'll be alone, and if you're alone, you think something is wrong with you, that people don't like you and that's why you're alone. Nothing will be wrong with you. In fact, you'll be better, you'll be more desirable because you won't be tied down and you won't be frustrated.

How many people in their 40s who've been married for 20 years don't seem totally bored and sexless if not completely miserable? How often do they fight? And what over? Stupid, pointless sh'it, because they're totally frustrated and feel like they can't do anything about the real problem, which is to say they feel like they can't get through late life with dignity if they don't have some woman holding down their fort for them.

Does that really sound better? Social acceptance from fellow misery-riddled, career-trapped coworkers, or total freedom? The whole thing's based on some promise, some illusion that doesn't exist.

You'll always find more people who want your company so long as you continue to accept and love yourself and your life. That's what attracts people, any age. Half the dudes on this forum are over 30. There's plenty of silver foxes out there in their early 50s still having a good time. And they have way more energy and love for life than the one's saddled in for the long haul.

nuff said.
