"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I'm pretty sure this topic has been discussed and I am new here, I've been looking but have yet to find it and time is running out =/

I was in a 3 year relationship and we decided to move to the same college together.. (biggest mistake of my life) and she bolted for another guy. Fine, I'll move on, there's a ton of girls, but as this is the beggining of the college session, I've done horrible and can't concentrate at all. I can go out, be around total strangers, do things to get my mind off of it, but when it comes to my studies, I can't get her out of my mind. I'm losing it and I hope you all can help me somehow someway break this feeling before I totally wreck my schooling =(

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Let me tell you something. I Know what you are feeling and going through and no matter what anyone says, That feeling will not go away until time passes. I wont BS you and tell you to go out and find hot girls and you will be alright because you can bang a hot chick tomorrow but when your all alone "trying to study" You will feel the pain inside. I feel for all the guys out there who have been done wrong by a girl, That feeling inside is horrible and there is no quick cure. I too couldnt concentrate on anything when my ex did me horribly wrong, I couldnt think, i was the captian of Varsity basketball team (HS) and i couldnt play right because i thought of "her" too much and it killed me, I flunked classes and did poorly because of "her". Okay.....she left you for another guy then... your going to have to deal with it because you cant control what happens but from my experience... You will be fine buddy, trust me. As a matter of fact i am 100% sure you will find a great girlfriend who will treat you good and you will forget ALLLLLL about your ex who left u behind for another guy. If your Ex ever calls you or trys to get back with you.. Please dont do it. you will be hurt again. Im telling you this from the heart because girls can be such a pain causing virus. You will be alright, go meet some new girls and you'll find a great one to be with. How do i know this?.... because i lived it... My ex called me, trying to be my "friend" and i told her to never dail my number again. Im now engaged to an increadible woman. You will be fine. just give time a chance to heal you up and you'll be in full force again. Peace.

I do not agree entirely, which is to say I do not completely disagree.
Having been in a similar situation myself I can't exactly say I was affected for a long period of time because of bad relationships. Then again I am the kind of person that I can usually get my mind off an unpleasant thought onto a much happier one.

Aside from time the ability to control your thoughts and emotions plays an important role in getting over a bad relationship (even if not completely but at least so it is not destructive to your life).
As such, I agree that “go bang a hot girl” probably isn’t going to help, but by getting better control over your own emotions you should be able to get through this faster.

Wow, its amazing how things happen in life sometimes. I sat down not 5 minutes ago to post a thread about the exact same type of issue that i have been dealing with. I suppose ill discuss it in detail in my own thread some other time, but for now ill just say......In2theGame......you said EXACTLY what i was looking to hear......thanks a whole lot brother, things have been real tough for me lately, but your words truly help

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

As a previous poster said, only time is going to heal this.

That's okay. Think about your life right now, and ask yourself about things that are going to make you into a man you want to be.

Understand that it's OKAY to be feeling sh*tty, to encounter hardships, to go through personal anguish, and to feel like you are in hell.

For me, I am trying to use hardships as a way to improve myself. There's a great quote in the end of "little miss sunshine" where the gay guy says to the troubled kid that "it's the times of hardships that make us grow." When everything is going great, yeah, it's a fantastic feeling. But it's really when things start to get all f*cked up in life that the real test comes.

Don't feel like studying? Get your ass in the library anyway and STAY there until you finish your intended work to complete.

Don't want to workout? Get your ass in there ANYWAY.

Only time can help you here, but you can still take an active role in your life.

And in the end, I'm sure that you'll look back and be proud of how you got thrown a hardship, but took it like a man.
