Did your psychiatrist say that you couldn't have a relationship? Can bipolar be fixed or treated or contained? This seems to be your main problem that everything else stems from at the moment, but honestly I don't know much about it. Care to enlighten us?

You seem to need to work on your self-control. Take up things like meditation and work out how to release your energy when it comes up rather than smashing the fck out of some dude :p

My mate doesn't have bipolar (I think) but his mood is always either manic or depressed... and he has a hot girlfriend. I don't know how she puts up with him, but hey, it seems to work for him.

EDIT:

At this point you can either resign to your 'fate' or fight tooth and nail to have the life you want. If you fight you will find an escape.

Mental disorders make relationships a lot harder to maintain. It doesn't mean you shouldn't try to, man. If you want an intimate relationship with a girl, you're going to have to bite the bullet. You're going to have to go through the same awkwardness everyone else did, the same heartbreak everyone else did, and the same drama everyone else did. Don't let your mental disorders excuse you from this life experience. I've fallen into that trap far too many times.

Are you going to be perfect? No. Not even Brad Pitt is perfect. Pook said it best: "Perfect is boring."

I know you want to be with a girl, LostAC. You can do it. Once you get a girl, you realize that all your troubles aren't over yet, but you'll keep on dealing with the problems, and then you'll eventually become inured to the gut-wrenching nervousness you're prone to when with a girl you like. Adapt, my good friend, since that is what being a man is all about.
