Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Here's the situation I find myself in...

I'm 24, but I look 18. Hell, I could probably pass for younger. I hear comments constantly. Now don't get me wrong. I'm a good looking guy. 8-9 on hotornot depending on the pic, but my problem is that I'm missing my target age group.

As much as I'd like to bang 18 year olds, a) I don't usually interact with many and b) I don't get along with them because they're too immature.

And with women in their mid to late 20's, I have a real hard time because I look too young for them.

Okay, maybe the difference is in my head, but you put me in a room with a bunch of 19 year olds, I'll get "**** me" looks left and right. You put me in a bar with 25 year old women, and I get the "buzz off kid" look left and right.

What to do?

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

lift weights.

Growing facial hair will make you look like an 18 year old trying to look 24, which is ridiculously ironic.

Lift weights. Its no short term solution, but its benefits are obvious.

Wait until you're 30 so you can look like 24! WTF, do you think you should do? Nothing! This shouldn't even be an issue. The real issue is that you're insecure about the way you look. Work on not being so insecure because of what people think you look like.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Do you act like an 18 year old or a 24 year old?

I have the same "problem" as this guy. I'm in my early 20s but I could walk into a high school class tomorrow and no one would doubt me if I told them I was a senior. Some days I could even look like I'm 16.

I can't really grow facial hair to offset this either cause I'm blonde and for some reason my facial hair comes out COMPLETELY WHITE, not blonde at all. I can really look nasty if I don't shave for a while LOL.

But I don't really see this as a big problem other than getting carded up the ass...yes, even for cigarettes.

By the way..I understand what you mean about being with immature girls, but I still would prefer high school b!tches to college hoes. They haven't banged half as many dudes as the 20 somethings in college have, and girls seem to have a tendency to dig older guys.

Also, I have an older brother who is 30 with the same "problem" as well. He's still banging girls from 19 - 25 with no qualms. He always says to me "the younger the better baby." Bet this "problem" will really suck when you're his age.

consider yourself lucky that when you're 30 you can pick up 20 year olds.

I'm 19 and I don't look much older - i've dated women from 17 to 31... makes no difference. Attitude is everything.

my advice would be;

1. bulk up
2. wear clothes that match your age or desired style
3. don't worry about it too much

what?, how can you complain about something as silly as this?, i'm 27 and am f****** 19-23 year olds who think i'm there toyboy, i dont think this is an issue you should be concerned about at all...

my dad is 47, looks young for his age like me, and has stares from early 30 year olds, when your older (or even NOW), you should be treating this as a very good gift from god.

like the guy above said. Its a gift so stop complaining about it. I know I will be happy as hell when I'm 30 and look like im 21. Imagine, you have the stability, status and financial security of a 30 year old made man and the looks of a 21 year old?? And you said your good looking, so imagine just how much of a pimp you will be in six years. Just relax and dont worry, it will pay off in time.
