Very close to the same amount as the average American man? (you could argue that lots of 25 year old girls are going out with 30+ year old men but then it gets reversed for the men as they get older...but we couldn't really speculate on any sort of precise number)

This is something that throws people off, they don't see the concrete reality of the situation and have a previous bias according to what they've observed and what they think they've observed.

Don't throw surveys at me. No matter what survey you can come up with you can find another that has conflicting conclusions.

It's similar to the question: Who gets into bf/gf relationships faster, men or women? ie: who gets a new partner faster?

Most guys will say "women, of course, they jump into and out of relationships faster!" But, that's impossible, because those women are getting into relationships with men....so, it's equal. If that doesn't make sense, change the word "relationships" to "marriage".

The same goes with all sorts of silly studies that say men or women cheat more often than the other. That's extremely easy to answer, both are just as likely. Well, actually, there are slightly more females in the United States so it could be said that men are slightly more likely to cheat more often.

Most people still balk at that and try to come up with a way to add assumptions (without solid proof, just anecdotal evidence, evidence from television, etc...) to get the results to fit their starting belief. We're humans, we try hard to protect how we see reality even when faced with solid mathematical principles that say NO, THAT CAN'T BE TRUE. ON AVERAGE, JUST AS MANY MEN SLEEP WITH WOMEN AS WOMEN SLEEP WITH MEN.

lets say they start having sex around 16. in 9 years do you really think the majority of women only slept with 2-6 guys? thats less than 1 a year.

I held on to my virginity till I was 20, and between the age of 20 to 25 I must have slept with around 8 different guys, but thats not that big a number because i was in two relatively long term relationships in that period.
Most of the girls in my social circle that I was at uni with must have easily slept with 20 guys while at uni, just as most of the guys had probably had around 20 women in that period of time.

Some of you guys seem to think that good looks equals more sex for women. This just isn't true. Ugly women can be just as promiscuous as pretty girls, if not more. Women don't sleep with undesirable men. But desirable men sleep with undesirable women all the time. They just don't date them or take them out in public. The most popular guy in high school or college dates the hottest girls and gets bj's from the fat ugly girls on the side. Some ugly girls try to boost their self-esteem by sleeping with lots of men. Now back to the original question goes. I think the answer is "lots". From the time some girls are teenagers they have various boyfriends. When I was growing up a lot of guys I knew never had any girls, but most girls had boyfriends. Then there is college. The average young woman has a lot more sex then the average young man. They will also claim their numbers are lower than they really are, just like men might inflate their numbers around other men.

That is true, even an ugly girl has more options than a good looking guy, but the good looking girl is much more desired and therefore will have tons more options than an ugly girl.

Sexual options don't really mean anything to women because they can all pretty much get it whenever they want it. It doesn't matter what they look like. Studies have shown that the typical women has had more sexual partners than the average man. I have friends in the 200 women camp,they are getting alot of the women the average guy won't. My ex-wife started with a 17 year old when she was 14. It didn't bother me while I was getting as much as I wanted.
