The viruses:HIV, HPV, Herpes are the ones to be really careful about, but the latter two are also easy to catch and widespread. All the bacterial infections are curable now as far as I know, but early detection is still important.
With STDs, there is always a chance, but there are also certain precautions you should take in order to minimize your risk:
1.) Don't date/fu-ck obviously slu-tty women. Duh. Many men do, and brag about it... they're stupid. There is no point in having a 5 second orgasm with such a worthless girl.
2.) Don't mess with party girls or girls who drink alcohol. The majority do, but they are the ones making up the 1 in 2 people who have an STD, just because of how alcohol lowers their inhibitions. I personally am not turned on by the fact that I am fu-cking some girl who has already fu-cked the whole party anyway.
3.) Try to only date the more intelligent women, who have morals. Believe it or not, many women are clueless when it comes to STDs, but not stupid ones. The intelligent girls will also be the cautious ones.
4.) Even if the girl checks out, there is the chance that she still has something but doesn't know it or is lying to you. The majority of people with an STD don't know they have it, but just because they're asymptomatic doesn't mean you'll be that lucky. Save sex for relationships.
5.)Wear a condom, EVEN FOR ORAL, even if she is on birth control. Herpes can be transmitted through oral, as well as other diseases. Fingering her or getting a handjob carry very low risks of tranmitting disease, so I wouldn't worry about those, but I wouldn't recommend eating her out until you are sure she is clean (see below). It's estimated that 1 in 4 people have herpes, so be careful.
6.) Just those things will lower your risk significantly, but if you want to be absolutely, 100% safe, go to a clinic somewhere and get tested with the girl. Hardly anyone does this, but if you have a girl who is worth a da-mn, she shouldn't mind doing it. If you feel she might be offended, emphasize the fact that you want HER to be safe, not just you. If you followed the first 3 rules, it will be very unlikely that she has anything, but if she does, *hopefully* it's treatable.
