What do you think people would do? I just heard on the radio that Americans watch on average 35 hours of TV a week. And that doesn't include stuff that gets recorded for later watching, or watching stuff on youtube, or movies(in the theatre or downloaded). Let's say all this sh*t that involves staring at a screen for many hours in isolation were gone for 5 years. I'll leave the internet since it's interactive/informative and useful for many things beyond entertainment.
How would TV-free society change? Would people start rekindling old friendships? Spending more time outside? Learn new hobbies? Start reading the newspapers more? What would you do if you woke up tomorrow and there was nothing but static on the TV set and the movies were closed?
