"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Friday night I was at a bar/lounge with a friend. I go to the bathroom and told my friend to watch my seat. I come back and a hottie is sitting in my chair. I make conversation with her and she's all flirtatous and I was having fun talking with her and joking and all that good stuff. She hands me her card and tells me to call her or email her. By the time she'd left, she told me about 4 more times to make sure I call her. She gives me a kiss on the cheek and takes off.

I never call the next day, but no later than the 3rd day, so I called today at about 2pm and left a message. I haven't heard back. I'd prefer not to leave a message because it makes it to easy for the girl to flake out on calling you back, or simply put if off and then eventually forget. But then I thought it might seem wussy if she sees my number on the caller ID and then hanging up before leaving a message. So I just decided to go ahead and leave the message.(side question-what do you guys do with answering messages when making that first call???)

What is a good rule of thumb here??? If a girl doesn't call back after leaving 1 message should I just throw in the towel? Should I try back 2 days later? Should I send an email in a couple days? Not sure how I should handle this...

well you should of hit *67 before dialing the number that way your call would just show up as restricted and her caller id wouldn't show your number.

If she doesn't call back then i would call one more time, wednesday night maybe, and if she doesn't answer or call back then drop her.

she's not worth your time and trouble.

Hell since you left a message and she'll know you called part of me is tempted to say just drop her if she doesn't call back and don't even bother calling her a second time.

but girls can be flakes (not that that crap should be tolerated but...) so i usually have a rule of 2 calls, if they can't make any effort or return a call after two calls or after leaving a message then they aren't worthy of my time.

You're thinking too much. do what feels right.

Think about it. If she likes you, would this matter? Would it matter to you if you were in the reverse situation? She's not gonna be like, 'dam, i really wanted to go out with guy, but he calls when he just left messege yesterday, what a weirdo'.

Just be confident and be happy, the right choices should be apparent after that.

some people still dont have caller id.
maybe she wasnt home when you called today.
give her a day to respond.
if you wanna call back after that, do it.
if she isnt home, leave a message and include your number.
after that if she doesnt call you back, throw her number out and move on.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I find that women either call back within minutes or never at all.

The 2 message rule applies here - leave at most 2 messages or become "that guy who's always calling" (Louis/Copeland).

Also, before leaving a message, you can call up to 2 times.

Keep in mind also, she said once during the conversation I can email or call her. But she mainly said call her. Her business card has her email on it as well as business and personal phone number. So maybe it's better to just email on the second attempt instead of call?
