40,000 guard towers at a conservative cost estimate of $50k each add another two billion dollars to the budget. Staffing each of them with three guards to cover a 24 hour shift, at $50k/yr, would add another six billion in cost every year.

Prisons leave the lights on at night, because a fence isn't much good when it's too dark to see the people cutting through it. And there isn't enough electricity in the southwest to light up 5,000 miles of border every night.

The fence idea is just never going to happen. There will probably be drone patrols in the future, as drones become better and cheaper, but they are never going to be 100% effective.

Of course he might still lose. But he's doing what he believes in. Too many politicians today try to be "all things to all people" or "all things to most people" I should say. They end up trying to court so many different types of people and special interest groups that they end up with ZERO focus. Being TOO moderate is actually bad because you end up compromising on nearly everything and accomplishing little.

I agree, if Trump stays the course he will be President. Trump has always been a role model of mine in terms of the business world, I honestly thought his presidential run was just for "show" but I'm starting to take him seriously now.

Man I hope Trump wins, I would like to see a VP Marco Rubio as Rubio is the future of the Republican Party. Trump stays in for 2 terms with Rubio as VP, will set Rubio up great to be the next President after Trump leaves.
