If a male was hitting or threatening to harm your adult daughter?

What would you do if a father came forward and revealed this pro basketball player that his daughter dated would abuse her. He threatened to hit her in the face, but didn't carry thru with it. But he was bullying her.

The father found out that the guy was known for bullying females and he hit a couple. The father searched out all the fathers.

He was not going to touch the kid, but find all the fathers of young ladies who had been with him and made sure they know. And if he find information that he threatened or hit their daughter to to let them know.

This father was not going to touch the kid because his daughter was not touched, but he was going to press charges or open a case and have a restraining order put into place.

Also he wanted to make it tough to impossible for this guy to date unless the parents really just don't care.

I'd stake him out, walk up to him without him knowing, and tap him on the shoulder.

When he turns around I'd say "It's that easy. Stay away from my daughter or I hit harder next time."

Assuming he's bigger than me I'd carry a stun gun or something of that nature to persuade him to be on his way.

It gives him a way out and lets me make my intentions known without risking police involvement.

How is the police involvement a bad thing?

It's not really good to be known as a woman beater especially in the system.

The father didn't mind the police involvement because an a$$ whipping was not going to do enough damage.

He wanted him to not to be able to easily date anymore. And if other fathers did have their daughter be the recipient of physical violence for them to have a chance to dish whatever punishment they felt like.

I was talking about police involvement on my end, arresting me for assault.

This is one of the cases where I come from a different world than most in the manosphere. I constantly hear stories from guys in suburban areas about a woman claiming they are being beaten and the police reacting harshly against the man regardless of the validity of their claim. I don't question their experience at all as I've seen it happen.

However, in my own experience dealing with city cops in Philadelphia, they are not always interested in a woman being beaten by her husband. Unless there is blood they will only separate them for the night. They rarely seem to follow up on stalking issues either.

Depending on the jurisdiction I would pursue law enforcement or my own ways and means.

Well sometimes they might need to be touched... In this case, he wanted him scarred enough socially with enough people who are working on the case for him ( the other fathers ) that it was going to be very difficult for the young man pro bball player.

He might actually take on several actual a$$ whippings, and even b1tches will run games on him to get them to hit at them so they can call the police and sue him. It would be hell on earth for him for several years.

Whereas a single individual a$$ whipping, he'd get over it, and still be able to carry on his game on other women.

by the time my daughter is dating, she'll be black belt and carrying a pepper "gun'. once she's old enough, she'll be ccw'ing a pistol, count on it. If you make being truly competent part of your daughter's makeup (and her mom's makeup) she'll handle such stuff herself, no problem. She'll also not be dating pos's like that.

I concur prison/con. My daughters will be schooled in small arms, martial arts and be a part of the reserve forces. They will pick Alpha men that will know where the line is. My wife is also an 'alpha female', if I want a couple broken arms, I know not to press my luck too much. She looks like a small, innocent, shy girl but she has the mind of a snake and the kung fu to back it up.

If it was my daughter she wouldn't pick a fvcking loser like that because she'd know that I would break his fvking legs... he'd be playing basketball from a wheelchair... I would teach my daughter that if you choose the wrong person, daddy and mummy will have to go to jail.

Wait, a professional basketball player? You mean the guys who on are average 6'8" and 220lbs with a BF% of 7% or so?

Unless you're a pro MMA fighter there's no way you're physically capable of kicking the guys ass. In this case, filing a suit against him with the other fathers would both tarnish his reputation and potentially be publically shunned, at worst lose his job (see: Ray Rice). Would be a lot worse than anything you could do to him yourself.

And he won't be able to date. Even women (b1tches) would run retribution...

This guy is a point guard 6'3" 190. His a$$ could be handed to him, but it is not necessary. My approach issues far more damage and justice than a simple a$$ kicking.

Plus he still may take some a$$ kickings. It's a more thorough and responsible approach. Plus in the system they don't take kindly to women beaters.
