"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Well here's my story...

I've been dating this girl for 9 months now. She loves me and I love her back. We get along fine, we have fun, we're open and talk about everything. She can tell me whatever she wants and I could do the same. We have fun and get along great with each other. Not to mention that I do soooo much for her and help her out, and on top of that her family LOVES me.

The problem is, she has this obese friend. This obese friend of hers is a guy who "used" to be in love with her... But I still feel a sense of jealousy in him whenever she's with me. In the past, they took close pictures together, he gave her valentines cards saying how much he loved her, and even today the way they talk to each other kind of disturbs me.

When she treated him like a b***h, he basically obeyed her. She on the other hand doesn't find him attractive AT ALL. She says that the thought of her even being with him gives her nasty chills. She even talks a lot of bad about him to me saying how he's cheap, greedy, annoying, and immature. They both get into these stupid fights that annoy both of them. The reason why she's so close with him is because she says that they're best friends. They get along well because they basically grew up together, they also laugh and go places together like clubs, the beach, and just hang out a lot. Just for the record, they have never made out or had any type of sexual encounter with one another. She also tells him that she's a virgin, but I knew she wasn't from day one. Yes, we've had sex many, many times and she tells me that I satisfy her sexually.

Anyways, back on track... She says she loves hanging out with me more, which sometimes I believe because we get along real well most of the time, and I don't fight with her as much, and most importantly, she's very attracted to me in many ways. At first this friendship didn't bother me, but now it just gets annoying. Here's how I know that things are going downhill.

1. Yesterday we were at a bar with a couple friends talking, drinking, and having fun, and she was texting him, not replying, but texting just to say what's going on... They talk every day. But the things they talk about are more like a conversation between a gay man and a woman in a relationship.

2. There conversations and texts, have a lot of "baby", "hotstuff", "love you" in them. She tells me all the time she loves me, she means it, and she told me when she says it to him, it's just a inside thing and she doesn't mean it the same as she does to me... but for some reason it annoys me. She tells me that she talks like a flirt because it's her personality, but she really isn't. I know she doesn't love him in that way, but she cares for him a lot since she has fun with him and that they have a lot to talk about. I feel like she would rather spend time with him over me. That's one of the things that I really don't want.

3. When we go out and have fun in a big group, she basically shows him more attention then she does to me. I'm not the kind of guy who feels jealousy, I never have been, but it's just annoying because it wasn't like this when I started going out with her.

4. Lately she's been treating me more and more like s**t, but she always says she's sorry afterwards. She even says that I'm the best boyfriend for putting up with her s**t... but then again, being a b***h is sort of her personality...

I know for a fact that she doesn't love him, but it just annoys me that she gets him more attached and gets his hopes up...and then, they spend more time together.

I have talked to her and told her that I don't like you spending too much time with him, but it just ended in a pointless fight. She says that we should just consider him a gay friend whom she gets along with... but no, he IS NOT really gay, he just acts it because he's immature and obnoxious.

I'd like to also mention that this is the first girl I've ever fallen in love with. The other girls I dated I never really cared about. So maybe this has something to do with it.

I mean, I see her about 5-6 times a week, but we don't spend the whole time together all the time...just a couple hours some days, and sometimes I see her for the whole day which is fun... I think I should see her less. What do you guys think...

I would really appreciate your input. Thanks in advance.

spend less time with her... you shouldn't ever allow some chick to treat you like ****, NEVER.. man up, don't call her, don't text her, disappear until she figures what she's losing. In the meantime you go have fun, never, never, never get hung up on one chick. Your becoming a bigger beoch than her friend, and we don't want one of our brothers doing that.

You obviously are not in control of this relationship. Start spending less time with her -- calibrate until you regain control.

6 times a week is a LOT. Make it 4, tops.

As for this guy, lighten up, you know he's nothing to get jealous about. Just always try to make sure he isn't coming when you and the girl get together. If he's going to be there, make sure you're not.

It's the same with her girlfriends: if sitting around listening to them talk isn't your cup of tea, then don't do it.

Danger zone. A woman with falling interest truly will feel sorry for byching you out & cutting out the affection. But that won't keep her from doing it.
