Icebreakers at halloween party?

Well I'm going to a fairly large halloween party tomorrow...lots of people from school will be there in costumes, including a girl I like but hardly ever talk to. Parties are usually a good time to approach a girl...so I was thinking I could at this one (even though I'll be somewhat of a gangsta pirate lol). I'm sure everyone will be joking with each other about their costumes and stuff, so the mood will be perfect. Only problem is I still haven't come up with anything I can say without seeming overly obvious, stupid, etc.

Any suggestions for icebreakers or things to say upon this approach?

If she is wearing a costume such as a witch, hooker etc....you can say "OMG you have NO spirit....why arent you in costume?"

if i were you, i would just approach her while shes in a group with a few people you know, so that youll have other people to joke around with and be more confident. just an idea, but goodluck with that.

Yeah, I may just go up to her while she's with her friends...ie approaching her small group as opposed to her alone.

smooth, that comment is great...not sure if she'd get it right away though (it took me a sec...maybe I'm slow ). Some other ideas I had was just saying "hey so what are you (guys) supposed to be?" or just "hey, how' you doing?"

But something more clever/C&F would be good...I'm not creative at coming up with those...any other ideas?

Am I the only one who thought that was funny as hell? It would defiantely work!
