"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Hey guys, I just figured i'd post this question for you all to take a gander at I suppose. It sort of hit me last night that I don't think I have that whole "it" factor I guess you could say about getting women. I'll list some of my positives. This post is somewhat long.

-going to college for physical therapy, and doing quite well at the moment
-work out 4 days a week, competitive powerlifter
-good social life, know a good amount of people at my school (just transferred here this semester)
-good rep, people have a good time when they're with me
-independent, I do things sometimes despite if I have anyone to do them, I do things I want to do
-decent-good looking, i'm not a 10 by a long shot, but i'm not a troll
-good sense of style, again I don't rock out all the best trends and expensive stuff, but I have a nice comfortable style
-good sense of humor
-very confident in my abilities
-just turned 21 a few weeks ago, so yay booze lol

Theres a few positive things about myself. The thing that I haven't quite been able to figure out is having "it". There are also some negative things. My roommate for one. His side of the room is absolutely disgusting, and if I bring girls back they gripe about how his side is gross. Its pretty embarassing. Plus I was put in a transfer dorm, which means that I was basically with a bunch of people who also didn't know the ins and outs of my school, so it was hard initially to meet people. But I did a decent job at it. But I just don't have that aura about me, even though I'm the one who has good social skills and lets people know about what things are goin on that night. I also have good conversation skills outside of a party setting as well, i'm not a complete stiff.

I just feel as though I don't have that one missing piece. I don't have that strong social aura, even though I know a lot of people. I'm also somewhat short (5'10"). I think I just need to brushen up on a few things, but if guys got any tips to help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. I think my main question is how do i get to be that guy? Not necessarily the life of the party persay, but just that guy that knows how to have a good time and everyone knows about him. Any help would be appreciated.

Jay

P.S....I have read some of the DJ Bible, but I figured i'd get more opinions asking it through the forums.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Social aura, find some really outgoing bros to hang out with. I found that that's the best way to increase your own socialness. I'm shorter then you (5'9"), but I have no problem talking to people taller then me. Basically, if you present an open personality and display it, people will want to get to know you.

Begin by stopping to try to be "that guy."

Stop worrying and start being.

Haha! I'm 5'7" mate and I have never been remotely bothered about my height, ever it doesn't factor into anything really. It's about how you present what you've got. Man, you're 5'10" and a powerlifter...sort out your CONFIDENCE and you're home free ;)

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
