"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

My (bad) experiences with the ladies seem to have really bruised my views of things. Even though I've got a few girls somewhat lined up atm, I'm constantly doubting myself. I try to tell myself that it doesn't even matter what happens on a date, but I still feel a good amount of involuntary stress.

Bah. Pook save me. I shall press on! On the bright side, my #-closing abilities are improving dramatically. Anti-Dump's machine will guide my life now.

kinda felt like venting

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Quit trying to impress!! On a date it is YOU who should qualify her - didn't pook say you are "The Prize", or was that ,'"The Surprise", anyways I forget, just quit stressing over being judged and take the lead!!

yeah, that's what I tell myself. It is definitely true, but it's kinda hard to keep firmly in mind.

i probably need to go work out soon or something to de-stress. Haven't done it in almost a week.

I'm the same. A lot of it probably has to do with your upbringing and how you were conditioned as a child.

"Your success is directly proportional to how many times you push yourself to step outside your comfort zone."

"Confidence is not attained by living vicariously. Instead of grabbing life by the balls, half of you sit there and let it pass you by. You can't get back lost hours, days or weeks...there is no reset button in this game so stop acting as if you have all the time in the world. You are not immortal and your future is not guaranteed."

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Don't worry it takes time to change any behavior, your going to feel the same for a while but over time any behavior you constantly repeat just becomes second nature.

You'll ease up for a while, when we first get out there and start dating we want to impress SO bad, we go out of our way to look and act perfect in every way, that creates a lot of internal pressure which is pretty much in relation to what's known as "choking" in sports.

Of course we want to look decent all the time, but once you get used to it, going on a date shouldn't require much more work/thinking than going to school or work. Hopefully most of us don't go to work/school like total slobs, but we're not constantly thinking about impressing everyone etc. and we are much more at ease. Eventually you'll be like that on dates, no worries all goals take time.
