I've been in similar situations a few times.

There's this girl that everyone thinks is drop dead sexy, except me. My taste usually flips towards girls that guys generally think are 'average' or just 'cute.'

Maybe it's because I filter girls out, but it's nice not being a sheep.

Totally agree. Just tell your friends "yeah bro honestly the chicks at my old school were models compared to the ones here". I switched schools and noticed the opposite, the chicks at the new school were a lot hotter, but they were A LOT more snobby towards guys (but the guys were also complete FVCKING pvssies too).
