"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I realised why MSN is so lame. Say you spend a lot of time on msn and always talk to people on it... it's so fake. First of all, I doubt you would talk to a person every day, but with msn you can easily do that... It takes away a certain pleasure of talking to ther person face to face that you haven't seen in even a short period of time of a week if you've talked to him/her 2-3 hours per day everyday on MSN.

Also, it seems to me that conversations on MSN are so fake... You can so easily become someone that you are not on MSN, and once you talk to those person IRL, you are totally different from what they expected you to be. Furthermore, I find MSN to be such a cold way to keep contact with people. If you really must talk to someone but you can't see him/her face to face, why not use the phone?

Anyways that was my 2 cent on MSN, I realised that since I started reading again and started spending less and less time on it.

Welcome to reality.

Watch your step. Its a long fall.

That's why I use MSN for setting up meetings, quick messages, and asking questions if I can't get in touch with them otherwise. I prefer face to face or phone.

MSN if still great if you know what it is good for. Its NOT for e-socializing. That's just lame.

The phone is even more pathetic. Ever try pen to paper? Letter writing is a lost art. It at least shows that you are taking the time to write something, to stuff it in an envelope, to put a stamp on it, and to mail it. Most people appreciate the old fashioned approach to reaching somebody. Find some nice writing paper and get to work. Girls love receiving a letter like that in the mail. It is something they can hold in their hands. Spray a bit of cologne on it. Place an old photo of you and them in it. Your choices are endless.

If you met a girl from a far off place it is even better. You can send her postcards from where you are or where you are traveling. It is a great way for her to remember you.

So what? I don't care. Showing them you care is a big NO NO. Most modern americanized women are hors. They don't deserve anything thoughtful. Its a hallmark card, and some crap I buy from the store if I ever have to give out anything.

It would have to be a pretty damn special woman for me to invest anything significant on my part. I haven't seen any of those lately. Have you?

As far as msn -- I don't think msn is altogether bad. You just need to remember not to use it for dealing with women except for a few circumstances
1) if you're in a LDR and you want to communicate for a little while. Still, you should keep the convo fairly short. The fact that you communicated at all will help keep you in her mind
2) you're just setting up a get-together
3) if it's some girl you met over myspace or something. Still, you should keep it short.

Likewise, I think you can use msn to communicate with your guy friends in some circumstances, but most of the time it's better to keep the msn convos short and actually invite them over.

Long msn conversations are mainly for communicating with guys you meet while playing internet games and stuff. Basically, communication among geeks. Don't try to extend msn's uses far beyond that.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Yes!!!!

I call it unnecessary mental masturbation over the internet. Especially if you are talking to women.

MSN can be good, just like skype, all you need is a webcam with build in mic. eBay it out for around $15... Its ok to use webcam and mic over MSN, that way its almost like talking face to face, you are trasmitting body language, full arsenal of your voice, and there is no mental masturbation, your mind sees and hears the reality instead of filling the blanks.

Once you get webcam hit me up mahn.

I am MORE myself chatting online on whatever service (msn, aim, yahoo, etc) than in person because i feel a lot safer and have more self confidence and can take a few seconds longer in my responses. In person i'm more likely to be shy about saying something because i'm leery of the reaction I will get where online I feel safer to say exactly what I think mostly regardless of the other person. And there's the fact that the person is staring at you and guaging all your body language and all that so you're more likely to be self conscious and not be able to relax.

To put it another way, if you're not a close friend of me then online you will get more of who I really am than you would from me in person because i'd be more wary of you and watch what i say because i'm unsure of how you would react yet, but online i know i'm much more likely to get away with things because of the computer shield so i'd treat you as more of a close friend so you'd get more of the real me sooner.

It would be nice to have the exact same ability to talk in person as online and we'll wave our banners about being super duper self confident and being smooth as silk conversationlists to get all the womens, but we have to be realistic about it.

I used to do the AIM thing. But I gave it up. In fact, I recently bought a copy of Vista Business and did a clean install on my PC. I didn't install any type of IM program since installing Vista.

Nowadays, I refuse to use any form of communication apart from the phone and letters, if I'm talking to someone in real life. I won't even use E-mail to talk to people, though my position is understandable because my father works for the USPS. He's retiring soon, but still.

I, like most people between the age of 6 and 40, have a cellphone (two, actually). But I only talk, and I try to keep the conversations within 5 minutes. Long enough to arrange face-to-face meetings or conduct business. I have text message block, so people can't send me any. They have to call me. I don't know anyone who regularly uses them, but just in case they do I want to be sure.

Stuff like MySpace(tm)? Forget about it.

Sounds like you're using it like a crutch.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.
