I read an article in the dentist office today

so I'm getting my teeth cleaned... or checked up or wahtever.. I went to teh dentist. so I'm there and there is an AARP magazine, and there was an article in there that I found very interesting

Men getting divorced over 50. and women for that matter.


Then I read one guys story, it's somewhere in there, where he was a successful man in his own right. The woman asks to tag along on a date with him, she basically cuddles up to him and becomes his best option, so they get married. The marriage was doomed from jump street.


What I don't get.. as successful as this woman was... and she was doing GREAT before she meet him as it sounds in the article, how the HELL does she get his entire 401K, half his savings and child support?

All because they fell"out of love". he had to buy his freedome and all thoose days, long nights and weekends he worked to secure his financial future are now for not.


THIS is the problem I have with marriage. Marriage is like an sawed off shot gun. if in the wrong hands, it can be deadly.

Now.. this man probably is the norm in it all, there are people who have GREAT marriges.. but again I pose the question.. WHY?

Why not just live with the person, ceremony aside?

This is why when the time is right i plan to marry a women who is not of American origins. I love women with sexy accents so that alone is plus for me, but also marrying a women who isn't as familiar with the American culture would be a much more suitable wife. Women from other area's of the world know to honor their husband and support them in a marriage. Far to many good men lose half of there shiit due to a money hungry biitch or a failed marriage. If i make it to stardom one day this is going to become an even bigger problem. Having a lot of money is great but also it can be a disadvantage because everyone once a slice of it. How dare a biitch try to take what i have earned with my blessings and talents.

Yeah man I mean i see the only reason to really marry a women is for puposes of having a kid which is something i do want. Then theirs that whole over rated falling in love thing. I'm still in my prime so marriage, kids and falling in love are out of the question. Yet still one wants to wonder. Hell if i become rich enough one day i can marry my foreign wife and live on some island sipping on margaritas and drinking expensive alcohol while having the best sex 2-3 times a day. All while i have my women on the side also.

I think it's more tied with how long you two live together.

I think the only reasonable solution would be to actually get married, but sign a prenup.

like chris rock said.. if I have 30 million and I got a divorce and you get half.. It's a lot of money but I'm not starving or anything and my lifestyle won't be effected in the least bit. taht money is my childrens children's money

i definitely agree that the marriage laws are f*cked up. If you're gonna get married, make sure it's with a good prenupt.

I don't really think total abstention from marriage is a very good alternative, however, because then all you're left with is hors.

such a dilemma. Maybe we should move to Saudi Arabia, like that episode of American Dad
