And I've been much more productive!

I still watch movies and stuff, but with school, work, and studying all of this inner game stuff, I've gently weaned myself off AIM and the TV.

AIM is a huge waste of time; the phone is so much better. AIM is really impersonal, and it's so easy to misinterpret things, or lie to someone. It's easy on the phone as well, but at least you can hear voice tonality. Also, on the phone, the person you're talking with has to give you their full attention, with AIM they can be having conversations with multiple people and forget about you!

And I stopped watching TV because it was getting boring, and I realized what a waste of time that was as well. I'll watch the History Channel or TLC every few months, but that's about it. The only reason I'd watch TV is for financial news. Also, TV has TONS of negative social programming.

I barely have used AIM in the past 6-7 months, it's the same unresponsive ppl and a waste. TV, is mainly news, travel, history, maybe some fight nights or stand-up comedy.

Suit yourself, I think Vice rocks!:D

TV is shi't on so many levels. If I could have traded my TV watching hours in for something like learning a musical instrument or starting early on my writing passion.........

I only watch the tv for movies and election news. I rarely watch it anymore, but I watch it for information.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

My tv used to be always on. Now it's usually off. And I don't miss it.

gratz vice, I stopped using any chatprogram at all 2 months ago and I LOVE IT. Now not only my friends are always wondering about me, they don't know where I am all the time anymore. Also, I am getting calls all the time which is just really nice^^ And I've gotten a lot of more time because you can make plans on the phone within 2 minutes but using a chatprogram it took me usually AT LEAST 15 minutes because people are doing different things at the same time and can't write very fast.

As for the TV: I never watched a lot of TV, just news and movies and I am still fine with that so there was basically no reason for me to stop anything.

I also dont watch tv anymore, if i do watch anything, it will be watching a re-run of seinfeld or something on the computer. I think getting the enws on the internet is alot better aswell (instead of tv). much more independent news websites that arent as biased with their info (fox news).

I rarely watch television and I do believe I'm better off for it. The amount of time spent watching inane commercials is sickening and the amount of quality programs is scarcer than finding a needle in a haystack the size of the Seattle space needle. People pay for cable television hoping to find some quality but they run into the same problem and hardly anyone watches enough to justify its cost. Anyone who watches enough television to justify its cost has another problem—watching too much television!

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

It is amazing how much time I waste just with the TV on in the background. Having re-runs of sitcoms on all day really does add up. I never realized it until I turned it off for a couple nights and got a ton accomplished. When you don't have that space filler, then I actually do things like clean up the apartment. That being said, it's still a tough habit to break.

I sold my Xbox 360 some weeks back, as well as turned my TV off for the summer. Those two things are time sinks. Time you regret spending afterwards, and can't get back...

I stopped watching TV 6 years ago (exception is sports). Got rid of chat and video games 4 years ago. Since then I've had so much time to do other things that I love. Friends ask me how come I have the time & energy to participate in so many activities. I tell them I have clones of myself running around, but of course the truth is that they'd have the same time & energy if they don't spend it all on a bazillion TV shows that they know by heart and start every conversation with "seen that latest episode of {insert TV show here}?"

Nice job vice, so what do you do in your free time now?
Whatever I want!

Working out, going to the beach, hanging out with girls... so many things you can do when TV and AIM no longer suck up your time.

I noticed how much time I waste on those two in the rare cases that I do.

I may start watching it occasionally if someone I know is having a TV show, or if there's something deeply interesting on.

I ceased watching TV for years. It turns everyone to mindless drones. However I think it's great if you get outlets that allow you to have some fun once in a while, it's important to clear your mind and blow off stress.

TV sucks because you're passive, all you do is subject yourself to schedules and watch pre-recorded content. Other mediums like games, the Internet, are more interesting because you can interact with it and the possibilities are bigger, and force you to think outside the box.
