"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Hi guys, I am a longtime lurker on this site and the time has come for me to post. So after being hurt in the past I seeked advice to improve myself which led me to this site. At first I felt like I needed to improve for 'the girl' but as time went on I realised that it was for myself that I must do this. I quit a job I didn't like and returned to study the subject I was made for.

During my study I saw this girl I liked (HB 8/9) and the self-improvement that I had undergone had given me the confidence to attempt a total cold approach. Things went well and I got her number (im 23, shes 19). We had stacks in common but I found out she had a boyfriend and had been in an extremely long LTR and so naturally retreated but I receive a text the week after that she has broken up with him (implying because she wanted to be with me).

So as we got to know each other texts became more and more frequent (a mistake I know) and things were going great. Naturally we then kissed after about a month (me going slow because she said she needed time). Almost immediately she says she isnt over her ex yet and the kiss didnt mean as much as she thought it would. She said she needed a bit of time but still wanted me in a very embarassing encounter on the street. At this point I know I should have walked but we kept in contact and this culminated on NYE where i walked into a bar and saw her kissing half the place. At this point I should have just gone total NC and ended it on my terms but for some unknown reason i answered her call the next day and said some things which i shouldnt have due to anger. This gave her the excuse to 'not want to be friends anymore.'

This is a classic example of what happens when you forget the lessons that I thought I had learned from this site and elsewhere. Guys I need a serious talking to to get my mojo back, I dont know what happened to me. This is really just me feeling sorry for myself  . I need motivation! :box:

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
