I am getting way too pale. Especially now that everyone is back from spring break and are very tan, it looks terrible in comparison. The problem is that I can't take my shirt off in public because I have gyno. So I can't go to the beach or lie by the pool or anything. What's the best way for me to get a tan?

Springtime weather is happening around here. I hope for you too.

An alternative is going to tanning salons. Two months ago I would've never considered advising anybody to go, but it does work and gives and all-over tan.

In the end it's all up to you whether you want to or not. The prices are not expensive at all.

I think treating the gyno would be the best thing you could do for your self esteem surely. Have you talked with your endocrinologist? Maybe you could take a medication. I'd imagine surgery would be too expensive, unless it's very severe or you have a lot of extra money lying around.

I don't really want to derail this, but there is no medication for it. Surgery is the only cure and I can't afford it.

How bad is your gyno? I have that a little, looks like saggy nipples mainly, but once I'm in the cold water of the beach, it becomes completely unnoticeable.

Remember that tanning is damaging your skin. If you're set on tanning, try to avoid the hours of 10 till 4, and whatever you do, do it gradually and never burn - it takes more than 7 days for the melanocytes to produce melanin which protects you from the sun, so space it out well.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.
