"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

This is my first post here, mainly because things aren't going so well for me.

I am 15 1/2 years old and just completed my freshmen year of high school. It was pretty average. I hated the beginning of it, but I became a lot happier towards the end. I have good grades, am probably the best freshmen volleyball player, have a good amount of friends, and would consider myself good-looking. I still, though, have never had a girlfriend and have only really kissed one girl. But I didn't really care because at the end of school, I was probably one of the happiest of those around me. I was improving my personality, my looks, and the amount of people I talked to.

Then summer came around...

I thought summer was going to be a blast, but instead I sat around and did nothing for the first week-no socializing or improvement-just sitting playing video games. This started a chain reaction. I have to try really hard to do anything. My mom just started chemo for her cancer so she can't drive. I do nothing. I haven't even tried achieving the goals I set out to complete-learning the guitar, meeting knew people, improving myself. I just sit around playing on my computer feeling like crap. I'm insecure, lazy, and feel like no girls will ever be attracted to me (even though I'm actually semi-good looking so my personality must suck)

Mainly this post is just me venting my frustration. I have a volleyball tournament this weekend and I'm hoping to start over afterwards. I'm going to try to stop playing as much video games-even quitting all together, and completing the goals that I set out to achieve (I'm making a list)

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Well first off, I hope it goes ok for your mum.

You know the answer to this dude. Continue with the self improvement, you're only 15, you can go miles. So what if you never really had much success with girls? You're 15. I was 18 before I even got kissed, now I get laid like a rockstar.

As for the negative stuff....associate it to pain. I recently got rid of a women because she was nothing but disrespectful to me and I realised that it would just make me miserable in the future. Same goes for your videogames. Ditch them when you realise there doing nothing for you, or your future.

Good luck man.

Hey mate,

I know what you mean, and I have gone through what you have. The only thing you can do is ask yourself really, what is better for you? Video games? Or mastering social skills? You have to be really honest with yourself because lying to yourself will fvcking kill you.

I am your age, so if you would like to keep in touch or PM me, I would be happy to help you out with anything, just promise that you are on to actually do things, not one of those fvcking lazy all talk people. Throw away the negativity, try being more positive.

Alternatively, you can check out the "Creating Motivation and Drive" article in my sig, or one of my FRs there too.

Don't stop mate

Yeah, last night my buddy called me up and wanted to get together and go cruise town, but I was too lethargic last night and just made up some excuse not to go, after he left I was like damn, i should have gone.

I'm 16 by the way, but read the DJ bible and it'll help you out im sure.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
