Ok, so my sisters have said I have awful shoes. For some reason I've been comfortable with dressy casual shoes because I've always been fascinated "clean cut" style of dressing. But I went to the store today and noticed that my shoes really do suck. They're kinda old, older because I wear them almost every day but I need to get some shoes that girls say "whoa, sexy shoes hunny!". Maybe it can't be answered here but I plan to go shopping with a female friend who lives out of town in a few weeks but for now I need some good shoes.

How do I develop a taste for good shoes? I've started to notice peoples shoes and especially on girls. Some of these girls shoes make me drool so I understand even more when a girl says that a guy must have nice shoes. I want the same reaction when women look at my shoes.

No doubt shoes are important, very important. I really want to help you too, but you have to specify what type of shoes you are looking for. For myself I have about 3 main catogories of shoes: athletic, casual, and dressy. So figure out what you need and when/how your gonna use them and I'll try to help more thoroughly.

Well I'm really looking for casual shoes now. The type I can wear to the club, around town but not sneakers like I used to wear as a kid.

Last time I bought shoes I bought them online since driving around town was a big fukking hassle since the shoes that I liked were never in my size...12-13 US.

I plan to buy my next pair of shoes online but I'm not sure of that now. I actually need some black and brown shoes. I think that's the only color guys wear when it comes to casual shoes anyway.

Really depends on your style, but I got some Nike Uptown His (tan and black) last summer and I get compliments on them all the time. New Balance retros are nice too, plus they're not made by sweatshops. Basically stay away from running or pure sports shoes and go for Classic styles. For the love of god, stay away from all-red shoes. They never look good on guys, ever ever ever.

here are some ideas:

Hmmm......maybe I should venture out into some different shoes. When I pick shoes I tend to pick shoes like these if no one was helping me pick and maybe they're just dorky for some reason. Samples:

Your links dont work but that ok.
For clubs and around town I like a pair of Kenneth Cole square toed slip ons, they look a little classier I think but use your own discretion....On shoes.com search for kenneth cole men's strecch a---or in the search bar at shoes.com search "04877"...There are a lot of shoes with lower price that look like these so check it out.

Here is the link, might not work but use the search above.

I gotta disagreed with the 'red shoes' thing. This is what my regular shoes look like:

Because it's winter I wear a nice pair of boots, and generally when it warms up I wear flipflops.

I have a nice pair of shoes but I need a pair for clubbing too actually. I have shoes and nice shoes, need an in-between.

Ok, my links are fixed. I usually wear a nice T-shirt and jeans through out the day so maybe those might be too dressy for that. But for clubbing I can see how that can work.

I also like these which seem to be a little more casual than my first links:

I agree with most of the posts...

But most sneakers like Nike and Reebok arent the best shoes to be wearing casually, unless your wearing like a work-out outfit or somin

Go with expensive shoes, you have to invest...

Timberland has some nice casual stuff, Diesel has some nice sneakers and shoes too...

and of course for more dressy shoes, you cant go wrong with like high price designer ones...

I'm gonna have to go with AverageFC on this one, those buckles look like dyke shoes or something, I'd go with the nicier ones, and if they are too nice go for the Tims or Diesels.

I just realized... it depends on where you live

What style girls like in europe is waaaay different than in america

and america is different too... what girls look for in NY is way different than in Texas...

Those shoes are for midgets ... what do they add, 4 inches to your height? Christ, they look like high heels.

I'm 6'3", I try to stick to shoes that have thinner soles. I don't really want to walk around being 6'6", I already tower over everyone here as is.

peace

I don't know whether they sell them over there, but Barkers or Loake produce quality footwear that's as close as you'll get to hand made at a reasonable price, and they don't spend all their money on marketing, just quality leather and workmanship.
