Okay well I'm editing an upcoming video for mountain biking. Like crazy stuff, downhill racing, stunts, etc.

All I need are some good songs. I'm looking for fast paced songs with rap/rock mix, i was told that this is called rapcore. Or anything that is intense with a good beat.

Some examples of songs that i'm looking for are:

- Mash Out Posse - Ground Zero (Rock Version)

- P.O.D. - Boom

- SOME Linkin Park songs

Stuff like that.
So basically anything that really moves you and gets your blood pumping.
Please, NO crazy DEATH METAL, or boring music.( such as classical, even if it does get your blood going)

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks! :D

"Punk Rocker" -- Teddybears & Iggy Pop http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIiP-aAaupA

"See me drivin down the street,
I'm bored with looking good.
I got both hands off the wheel,
The cops are coming.
I'm listening to the music with no fear,
You can hear it too if your sincere...

Coz I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Well I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Coz I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Well I'm a punk rocker yes I am.

I see you stagger in the street,
And you cant stay on your feet.
And your faking in your sleep,
You wish that you were deep.
You can't hear me laughing to myself,
If you could you would be someone else.

Coz I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Well I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Coz I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Well I'm a punk rocker yes I am.

See me die on bleaker street,
I'm bored with being god,
See me sneering in my car,
I'm driving to my star.

I'm listening to the music with no fear,
You can hear it too if your sincere...

Coz I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Well I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Coz I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Well I'm a punk rocker yes I am.

Coz I'm a punk rocker yes I am.
Well I'm a punk rocker yes I am."

I think that 'Teddybears' would be a good choice, anyways: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9Uix6fkMGw

Singled out by Diecast. One of my faves, I listen to it on repeat while working out. It was edited to be the UFC theme song but the original is better.

give me reps for this.

don't be so damn predictable! go with something that people won't expect. do you know how many extreme sports videos there are that follow your formula? your video will be kinda ****ty because you are a young amateur just starting out. that is even more of a reason you need to go in a different direction. the first 10 seconds are crucial. if you don't hook'em with something you will lose them.

Red by King Crimson

Not rapcore (it's instrumental rock), but makes most of those others mentioned sound like fvcking bubblegum. Would be really good for crash footage.

If you want intense, go with The Mars Volta! Cygnus...Vismund Cygnus, Intertiatic ESP, Drunkship Of Lanterns, or Take The Veil Cerpin Taxt. High energy, and very schizophrenic songs. I could see the beginning part of Cygnus being PERFECT for that type of video.

Hurt by Johnny Cash (Nine Inch Nails cover) when someone crashes (lol I know its not upbeat intense but it might add a totally different & funny element)

I jumped out of an airplane to The Crystal Method-"high roller", Pennywise-"date with destiny" (very fast and good lyrics) and Unearth-"big bear and the hour of chaos" which is just an instrumental. Check out "faster than the world" by h2o. There is a music vid for Survive by Rise against on youtube featuring a lot of downhill mtb action.

thanks guys so far.

I guess after listening to some of these, some are a bit too intense.
I like the punkrocker one, not too intense but catchy. :) and i've never heard it before.

I think Lose Yourself by Emeniem would be a good song, the beggining gets me pumped and I have yet to see it in a biking video.
But so many people have heard it already, so I don't know.

And yea, most of these songs are pretty common. I'm looking all over myspace right now for some bands that no one has heard of. Some have pretty good songs but mostly are bad.

also, anyone know where to get those songs that they always use in movie trailers? I tried googling but couldn't find too many good ones.
I like these cuz they lift you up and everything.

oh yea, might I add that i'm editing a TEASER not a whole movie (around 2:00 min)

EDIT:
after watching a couple hundred trailers/teasers for mountain bike movies. I have changed my scope of music from "intense" to mostly CATCHY or something that people will have stuck in their heads, and when they get it stuck in their heads, they also get the video stuck as well.

so yea, mostly catchy, ORIGINAL something that rarely anyone has ever heard of, but still good.

Punkrocker is a good example. Any other suggestions tho?
