"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

My story has a ton of details i can not even include in one post. Ill try to summarize as much as possible.

On new years eve I met a girl in a 3 year LTR. We had instant attraction. She admitted she was attracted to me and started developing feelings for me. She told me things with her boyfriend were turning stale. We ended up making out that night. We started texting and flirting EVERY day. I originally started out texting her for entertainment and maybe hooking up when she was in town. I had also being going through a dry spell with women before her, i was almost in depression. She became the light of my life. Talking to her got me through my days, gave me something to look forward to_One problem was she lived 6 hours away so we only saw each once every 1-2 months. When we met in person everything was perfect, we got along great, physical attraction, ended up sleeping with her on our second date. All this time she still officially had a boyfriend, but never mentioned him to me, always flirted with me, which I know are good signs.

This progressed until July, talking every day over text, seeing each other once a month. I was falling more and more for this girl. She came down for a whole weekend with me, which was literally the best weekend of my life. One mistake ill admit was i made her the centre of my universe, my mood definitely depended on her, and i stopped putting effort into gaming other chicks toward the end

On our last meeting in person I told I thought we should be together, her other relationship was going no where and we were great together. Her initial reaction was shocked, she later told me she didnt think i was in it for a relationship, just for the chase. Which was true until lately, she told me she didnt think it would work, because she cant stand long distance relationships, and seeing me once a month. I played it cool and brushed and said ok, i wasnt going to press the manner.

The next day i get a text saying she doesnt want to leave, and she wants to be with me, but she still doesnt know if the distance will work. We go back and forth for days, thinking of it will work. We started having phone calls which we never did before. 2 weeks later where we still hadnt made a decision with our relationship, i gave her a call and basically gave her an ultimatum, saying she has to decide. She said she didnt want to attempt long distance, I played it cool on the phone , while dying inside. Keeping in mind the boyfriend was still in the picture (however he was out of the country for the summer). 2 days later i get a text message saying shes changed her mind, that shes dumped her boyfriend and wants to be with me. Stupidly I dont put up much of a struggle, and tell I wanted it still too.

The next day apparently her ex called her and told her he was having a hard time with the break up . She called me and told me she couldnt start a new relationship because it was too fast, and she thought it was disrespectful to her ex who shes dated for 3 years. She wanted to make sure he was ok. She told me shes still wants to be with me too. Anyways we drift further apart,2 weeks ago i get a phone call saying her and her ex have been talking on the phone a lot, and shes thinking about getting back together with him. I immediately tell her im done with this whole situation, delete her number, delete her off facebook.I creid for the first time in years, felt like i just lost my future, and one of my best friends. I put all my eggs in one basket. Haven't talked to her since.

This was 9 days ago. I literally feel like i have hit rock bottom. I know it doesnt make sense, i know i should have seen red flags. I know we werent technically dating, but it felt like it, talking to someone every day, she brought me out of a dark place, which im falling back into now. Ive looked up every thread on here about getting over a breakup. Ive tried everything, hang out with friends, family , exercise, going on dates. Nothing works. I live by myself and work a job i dont like. I come home to an empty house and its just lonely. I think about every word this girl ever said to me thinking about where i went wrong. I know in my gut her interest level is high, and still is high. She just flip flops so much, i dont know how she can change her mind over the phone like that.

My question: Every thread i read says no contact is the best way to go if you want any hopes of getting her back. I deleted her number, her facebook, this was 9 days ago, ater talking to her every day. So far she called my bluff and hasnt contacted me either. I know calling her gives her all the power, but i feel like i have to do something while her interest level is still high. This no contact is literally killing me, i look at my phone all day, i cant sleep. I have been rationalizing to myself if i have already lost her, than phoning her cant make it any worse. I have alot to say and I want to attempt at getting her back. Does no contact work, or should i make one last run at it for my sanity?

Thanks for taking the time to read this, i treid to summarize as much as possible. This no contact thing is killing me, i dont know if its its helping me, or shes just forgetting me. Im so close to calling her to get it off my chest. If it backfires, im not really any worse off than i am now. No contact apparently evens the power out, and seems like a better move, but its killing me.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Granted I wasn't in as deep as you got with this girl. I recently flew across country to see a girl. We had mutual feelings for each other and she would text me/Skype me/send pics everyday. However the night before I got there she made it up in her head that having sex with me would cause her to have intense feelings for me that she couldn't bare with the distance. She distance herself from me during the trip and then I left the morning of the last day in a cab while she was sleeping...yea I was pissed. Anyway I felt pretty bad for a few days and realized that I still do care about this girl and its tough. I have to accept the fact that as the man, unless I have the finances and stability to make a life for us, that I can't expect her to just videochat me and not be with any other guys. Its selfish and unrealistic, still sucks, I feel your pain for sure, but you move on and talk to new hotties and eventually you find someone local who is just as special.

Does no contact work? As in what....does no contact get women to want you? No. Probably not. No contact isn't designed to get the girl. It's designed to get the girl out of your life while you're still in control of the situation. Better for a man to admit that something isn't going to work rather than hang on for dear life while the girl toys with him. And yes, maybe the fact that she saw you walk away like a man will leave a good impression for her in the future. Once she's grown tired of her current man. But don't fool yourself....no contact is for YOU. Not for her.

I mean, what are you gonna do? She dumped you. She's been talking to her ex.

If you dumped HER, hey, maybe calling her up and making some emotional plea would help the situation. But she dumped you. Her feelings for her ex trump her feelings for you. What....do you think calling her up, getting all emotional is going to make her want you more? Does that sound right?

Ah, so you chose to buy the "Her feelings were too strong for me. And she didn't want to fall in love." excuse. I remember I wrote to you what her 5 possible rationales would be.

I mean, if believing that will help you move on with your life, then go for it. But reality is, if a girl wants you, she will have you. Regardless of logic. Always. Passion rules...and if she were passionate about you, she'd have spread her legs from the moment you walked in her door. And don't try to convince yourself that she's some honorable, lovestruck angel. This broad was sending nudie pics to you, some dude she never met before. Yeah, dog...real wife material.

I'm not trying to be a d!ck. Seeing you rationalize that girl's treatment of you just reminds me of stuff that i went through when i was younger. So naturally, I get a bit angry when I see a guy going down the same path. "It's not that Jessica doesn't like me! It's that her feelings for me are so STRONG that she doesn't want to ruin our bond by having endless nights of passionate sex."

Inside her mind
OP

your first mistake was catching feelings for a woman who was invovled with someone else. This woman is the classic "Branch Swinger". However she wasn't gonna leave her b/f because she was getting the validation and affection from you, in return you got rewarded with her attention and sex

How to move on?

It may be painful OP but this is time to destory&rebuild. Find a new hobby, hang out with friends you haven't hung out with before. Keep yourself busy!!!!

a bored mind is a playground for the devil

Meaning that boredom will ruin you, and depression is there. Trust me OP I know, I've been in your shoes. Keep yourself busy, meet new people and don't contact her. She has her b/f and any attention by you will reinforce that she is in control of the frame

I know it's hard but you have to be strong OP!

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Clamoring over a girl 6 hours away huh? Pining for a girl with a BF huh? Yearning for a chick who said she doesn't want to be with you eh? You're going to have to realize a couple things. (a.) You invested far too much of yourself in this girl and (b.) she was never interested in a LTR with you. You know how I know? It's all right here:

"On our last meeting in person I told I thought we should be together, her other relationship was going no where and we were great together. Her initial reaction was shocked, she later told me she didnt think i was in it for a relationship, just for the chase. Which was true until lately, she told me she didnt think it would work, because she cant stand long distance relationships, and seeing me once a month."

Bolded is what SHE actually thought, not you. She was never in it for a relationship. Why would she be? She had her supplicating boyfriend and then she had YOU, the dude she slept with when she came back home. She then backtracked and told you it was actually about distance. It never was. Coming from someone who has tried LDRs...a chick with high interest will at least TRY and make an LDR work. Both mine failed, but when getting in one I was practically begged.

She's got literally no interest in you other than the secks. You could have continued but you got all mushy and gay on her. No girl wants that. You can run some emotional game on them every once in a while, but it seems like every time you got together it was just cutesy pillow talk after cutesy pillow talk. If she wanted that, she could have done it with her gay best friend or all her chickie friends.

You gained valuable experience in this 'ship though. Never give yourself to someone who isn't willing to do the same. Also, don't ever bring up LTRs before the girl. Lastly, don't be a fvcking panzy. All valuable lessons.

Now go out there and get some exotic a$$. Don't talk to her. Keep her removed from every aspect of your life. She doesn't deserve to know how YOU are doing. We know exactly what she is doing: going to baseball games with her boyfriend, bending over for him, eating his a$$hole out, making him dinner, moaning for his c0ck, basically anything and everything under the sun.

If you read these forums enough you run into observations/complaints about a type of woman (some might claim it is all of them...but I digress) that has a boyfriend and cheats on him, uses other guys for validation, etc.

And, when she finds a better offer she dumps the boyfriend and hops in the sack with the next biker, rogue, quarterback, sugardaddy, etc.

You are neither the boyfriend nor the next guy she's gonna end up with. You are the orbiter, validation meat stick, and sucker she's playing.

You know why she said she might like a LDR with you? Because in those 5 seconds her hamster told her it was a good idea. This was not something she truly felt deep down or thought out carefully and rationally. She vomited out that nonsense because it felt like the right thing to say at that time to keep you in orbit. Once her steady was around more, he played her emotions on their time together and banged her regularly and probably kissed her rear end a bit. Why does she need you? You are just her lay on the side and her ego prop. You are NOTHING to her but putz she uses for emotional satisfaction.

And if she ever did get with you, she'd dump you in a few months for the next silver back that offered her a ride on his pogo stick.

Do you want to be THAT guy?

And, do you want to date THAT girl?

Move on.
