I need a fake ID

Little background.

I'm younger than my peers, skipped a couple grades in middle school. Now, me and some friends are all taking a trip up to Canada to gamble and hang out. The legal age there for drinking/gambling is 19. I'm 18.

I know casinos are really hardcore about age limits, as they should be. However, I'd rather bend the rules a little than have to stay back while my friends have fun w/o me.

Given that, where/how can I get a fake ID without getting my identity stolen or some crap. Is there some system? This would presumably just be a driver's license that has an incorrect date of birth on it, and then my picture.

fwiw, I am glad now that I never got one. Right now I am having to type out form after form for a background check to be a lawyer about all of the times I got arrested drinking beer when I was your age. And this is without a fake ID. And I was lucky as hell, used to often drive home so drunk that I didn't remember driving home.

But the fake ID is a bigger deal than mere underage consumption. It's become a felony in many states. That would make you a convicted felon for life, which is not worth some beer. It's also a "crime of deceit." That means that if you ever want a job where they trust you with money - like accountant, lawyer, banker, or stockbroker - they won't give you the license to have the job. It's not fair that years down the road, employers would essentially accuse you of being a thief and not hire you all because you got a fake ID to buy beer, but that is what happens, given the far-reaching scope of the "crime of deceit" label. If you get caught with the ID, you will get labeled as a liar and unworthy of trust - maybe for the next ten or twenty years. Like I said, it is not worth it for the sake of beer.

I would be in Canada though, and at worse would be caught trying to enter a casino with a fake (I'm not driving up there). They throw me out, I just go home. Moreover, Canadians probably can't recognize American driver's licenses.

I also doubt I would be prosecuted for having a fake if I'm caught in Canada.

I'll just trying to be the wayward teenager here.

You gotta find someone you kinda look like or someone with a shaved head you kinda look like thats older and borrow their ID or buy it off of them for this trip.

I'm canadian and the worst that happens is the ID getting taken away and you getting kicked out, at least that's what most cases I know of have been. What Bible Belt said seems very extreme around here but maybe the fact that you're american affects your punishment, I have no idea. Maybe casinos are more harsh though? I just know how it is for bars and clubs etc.

But if you do choose to get one try to get a real one from someone who looks like you, they're a lot more legit.

The problem is mostly getting caught with it here. You have to not get searched at the border. I know that seems extreme, but on a related note, there was a famous court case about a guy who got caught crossing the border; he surrendered his laptop for a search and they found deleted pictures of underage girls using their own special software to recover deleted files. The USSC said that was not an unreasonable search, tough luck for him. The point is that when you cross the border, you consent to every kind of search imaginable. They can find that fake ID and use it against you.

I know I sound extreme, but these are the extreme consequences to what you are considering. Wise decision-making is about risk:reward ratios. You have to know the risk in order to make a wise decision. Just because you see other people doing it does not mean that you will get away with it. On the contrary, the more flagrant that some sort of law-breaking is, by the time you have noticed it, it is all that much more likely to have attracted the attention of law enforcement. Just be smart about what you do.

If I were you OP, first thing I would do is NOT argue with a prospective lawyer (i.e. Bible Belt) and actually listen and pay attention to what he is saying.

Second thing, you only have less than a year to be able to legally enter the casinos. Are you that big of an idiot that you are willing to do something illegal across the border in a foreign country when you could be legal in less than a year?

Lastly, there are SOME areas in Canada where the age is 18 (or so I've heard...maybe other posters can confirm this). Find out those places and see if you can get your buddies to go there instead. If not, then think for yourself ABOUT yourself and stop being a blind sheep following the herd.

Also, I'm actually 17, turning 18 just after this trip, I just said I was 18 to simplify the timing. I'm ****ed no matter what.

I currently have my brother's ID, he's 21 already, and looks like me. The problem is, the ID is expired, and some bars/clubs in the US have turned me down because of the expired ID.

I just want to party, seriously. It's bad enough knowing I can't legally drink for another 3 years, not being able to enjoy myself outside the country is totally lame.

you wanna hang out.. get your friends to buy a caseload of beers, and go hang out somewhere where you dont need an ID... about gambling.. The house always wins.. meaning you wanna get a fake id so you can go and lose money.. just send it to me via paypal.

Lol.. move to africa.. legal age for everything is 18 (except Sex 16.. and some other countries driving is 16).. im sure its like that for some other continents i have gone to.

its the same in england, legal drinking age is 18, legal driving age is 17 and sex is 16

about the fake id, i would get one, i have got one, im 15 and although i do look about 18 i do need an ID to buy beerr from most shops and I aim to be a lawyer and in the bigger aspect of things i dont think getting caught with an ID is the worst thing which can happen, although in america i dont know the laws. They could be very harsh on these kinds of things, so tread carefully mate.
