but my pistol remains the trump card. If 2-3 punks have a fist sized rock in each hand, and know to throw them at the same time, from 6 ft away, I dont care if you ARE Bruce Lee, you are going to get fvcked up. They don't NEED guns to be a lethal threat. Once you are hurt, they can kick your head off of your neck!

I'm not about to LET some punks hurt me, just because there's several of them and they snatch up chairs, or climb out of their car with tire irons. I will draw, and if they don't stop at just the sight of my gun, I will shoot them ALL, before they can turn to flee, so that ALL go to cemetary, or to the hospital and prison, and I have PROOF in court that more than one attacked me.

That is what being REALLY skilled with a gun is all about, in my book. It's not about beating some other gun-guy to the draw, it's about getting enough hits in, fast enough, on multiple attackers, to make a real difference. Even if you are up against 8 or more, HITTING 3-4, which can be done in 1 second flat, WILL send the rest of them packing! Before the first one hit can hit the ground, basically, a fast man can have hit 3 more guys who were attacking him.

Few people have a real grasp of how fast or slow 1 second is. So here's a fairly accurate standard. Hold a coin up as high as you can reach (standing) Let it fall, it will hit the ground in 1 second.

The reason I don't carry a gun is that exact scenario. It's not like they're going to throw the rock at you while you're looking. That rock will hit you in the back of the head when you don't see it coming. And then you quite possibly might wake up staring down the barrel of your own gun; in that case, the gun would have put you in a much worse situation than had you not had it. That's the responsibility of carrying a weapon that I think so many people just never consider - whatever you carry can be taken away; you had better know open-hand defense to that weapon just as well as you know how to use it offensively.

Plus, didn't you ever train how to fight three guys at once? It's mostly running. If the three guys are shoulder to shoulder facing you, fighting them in that position is impossible, so you run to the end of the line so that one guy is facing you and the other two are behind him. You then have about 3/4 of one second to fight the guy facing you one on one, before the other two reposition themselves. It's used as a conditioning drill in mma, but no one lasts very long. About two minutes was the longest I ever saw anyone last; guys run out of gas, stop moving, and then start getting pummeled. That was a drill everybody wanted to try, but afterward never wanted to do again.

if you cant win a fight in 2-3 seconds, the odds are VERY high that you can't win it at all. if you knocked out enough for them to take your gun, they can kill you in a dozen ways, they dont need your gun. rip out your larnyx or smash it, stomp temple or ribs, twist your neck, kick behind ear, etc. that's a VERY silly reason to not ccw a gun. I can draw and shoot all 3 of them before you could run past them.
