I made a mistake how do i redeem g/f possibly lost respect for me

hey guys after a long hiatus i'm back and my relationship is in the dangerzone.

My g/f even called me a punk *****

This is what happened...

I was at the club and this guy was standing at the bar in front, I told him "excuse me" and went behind him to talk to the bartender, he exposed his back to me so that i could get a drink.

My girlfriend all of a sudden grabs me and then says to the dude "I said excuse me you should have moved" dude was looking angry and told me to "get my girl in check"..I get in between them Not knowing what is going on AT ALL!!!!


I look at my girlfriend and try to tell her to calm down because i had no idea what happened and I wasn't about to get into a meaningless fight. She walked over to the other side and pulled me to the next bartender and said "Yeah that's what i thought, I know the bouncer will kick you out of here"

Well She seemed pissed at me for the rest of the night
I ask her what's wrong and she said I didn't defend her honor

She then said that if that were her brother he would have knocked dude out no question, then said I'm not a protector.....

She also said that what I missed in the whole altercation while my back was turned
She said that I missed how he looked at me square like he was about to do something to me, i knocked his drink on his shirt after he moved away for me to get to the bar??
He was bigger than me by far taller muscular
It all happened so fast...now she is saying that he would have whupped my ass anyways, and that I'm a punk...

I told her that it was meaningless to fight...and be the bigger person...


I feel like my Girlfriend lost respect for me....how do I get it back? get in a brutal fight with someone on the street???? help....btw I'm back

This is just an excuse to shame you and assume the upper hand.
My tip is that she lost respect for you a while ago and she can no longer contain her feelings.
A woman or GF would only say something like that to me once. She'd never get another chance to because either her or I would be out the fvcking door.

Don't make the mistake of trying to placate her because that will just feed her contempt for you. You'll be increasingly tempted to try and keep the peace and soothe the savage beast with gifts and compliments but it will have the opposite effect.
The ballsiest course of action would be to dump her and see what she does. IMO, that is the only way you can flip the script on this one and take the power back.
Let her know who's boss and that any disrespect on that level will be dealt with swiftly and coldly.

This was a MAJOR and worthless manipulative sh!test and you failed it huge.

First, this is a LOW quality woman. She wants to be in charge of the relationship because she feels you are not man enough to project strength, leadership, and stability to her. She's probably been feeling this way for a while. She'll be dumping you soon, no doubt. Head her off at the pass, dump her, and never look back.

Second, SHE manufactured this drama on purpose. She wanted to see some alpha strength from you. There were two ways to pass and only one of them would have benefited you. (1) Step in between them, tell the guy off to his face that he needs to step back from your girl and see what happens next (either he does or he kicks your azz). In this case, you played protector but got played by her and got your ass beat (in which case, she'd still probably lose a little respect for you but your willingness to engage in violence would at least have got her a little wet, probably for muscle-dude first but at least you were willing to put your azz on the line for her).

(2) The second way to pass, which would give you both the frame and the dominant hand, is to pull her aside (or when she pulled you over to another place at the bar) and tell her off: "Listen, you are NOT to manufacture meaningless conflict with strangers at the club and then expect me to deal with it. What are you, in fourth grade?? Now, you stand here and wait for me while I go buy the guy a drink and apologize for my girlfriend's childish behavior." Or something like that. Women like to be called out on their unacceptable behavior and when a man puts them in their place.

Unfortunately, you chose option (3): being her b!tch-boy and letting her belittle you in front of the people there.

She also hit you with another sh!t-test in front of the bartender with the her bouncer comment. That should have been the last straw: "Fine then, let him buy you drinks, ride you, and pass on his herpes. I'm outta here." And then you leave.

She'd come crawling back later, but you should have really been done with her at that point.

All that said, I agree with everyone here that you need to drop this pathetic, childish, drama queen as soon as possible. She'll either drop you first or manufacture another series of BS sh!t-tests for you to fail and drop you soon after that.

Walk away, dude.

I had an ex who would ALWAYS pull the whole "you don't defend my honor" ****. She would take offense to things that were harmless jokes from other people and would blow up at me about it for not saying anything and freaking out. Search my old posts and you can find a thread about it.

Just stand your ground, stay cool and calm, leave your emotions out of it, you should only have to explain yourself once.

If she doesn't change her attitude, pull back and ignore her.
