I lent an FB money

So I lent an FB some money about a year ago (and well before I found this site). She was out of the country and was on about how she was low and needed $100 to sort some stuff out before she got back. She said she would pay me back in a few weeks. Of course she hasn't paid me back yet. I knew I'd never get it back but it was a test.

We still hang-out. If I go by her I'll usually bring food and wine. Other than that I give her nothing. She is off island now and today she sends me the following text...

her: Hi, i'm in need of a western union please
me: No
her: typical
her: I wasn't asking you anyway i was just telling you

I'm also thinking this is so "Typical". This just happened so how do you think I should respond if any?

How is she "not asking you" if she texts you and says, "please"?

Or maybe she meant it in the context of, "It wasn't a request, it was an ORDER". Which is even more laughable.

I've gotten in the habit where any time someone says something ignorant and then says, "I'm just saying..." I come back with, "well I'm just saying back...".

Tell her the interest is still accruing on your last "loan" to her and that her credit's no good any more. :crackup:

After I tell her NO I explain to her that the there is no more US - we're done and that she should no longer contact me.

Yesterday she calls and says she was joking when she asked for the money. I explain to her that I didn't think it was so funny cause she didn't pay me back the last time.

She then lies and insists that she paid me back. I say it never happened.

Then she says she wants to see me so she can pay me back. I say no thanks you can keep it and click.

Good lawd. A year ago I would have tolerated this behavior.

What were you testing exactly? She's just a FB, right? I thought the whole point of a solid FB relationship was meaningless sex with no feelings involved. Who cares if she's shallow or not dependable with money?

But yup, sounds like a typical FB relationship to me, .... well except for the part of you treating it like it is something more.

But... ehhh.... if the girl was a HB9, and dependable call girl for sex, I'd gladly toss her $100 once without the stipulation of a loan. That's damn cheap and painless, and I assure you a hell-of-a-lot cheaper than marriage.

I made this mistake once too. The same amount as you. It was over a year ago and I have never been paid back, but when we were arguing about it a few months ago I said the following, "Hey since you are not going to pay the money back, I will look at it like a dollar a fvck, enjoy it!" This pissed her off royally too. I mean $hit, a year was plenty of time to pay it back. So knowing her I and were done anyways and I would never see her again after having a thing for quite a while, I made her out to be a VERY cheap hoe.

Never again will I loan anybody money! Period! My own brother especially.

It is ingrained in the human psyche that a woman give up her sexual favors for material support from men; indeed, it is the basis of the world's oldest profession. Your FB merely feels that she has "banked" a certain amount of support, and she wishes to cash in. If you are a man of a certain level of means, and you feel that her sexual services to you have been sufficient, I think the honorable thing to do would be to give her some cash.

You should also keep track of your expenses, so that if she were to ask for a night out or whatever, you could retort with the fact that you are tapped out because of the cash you had lent her.

Think from a cost/benefit point of view. If you hit it twice a month. That's 24 times a year. $100/24 = $4.17 a pop. I say you should have handed her the month, but be firm on a set amount. And if you feel cheated, hit it a couple more times to even it out the score.

Now you pissed her off and have to find a replacement and might have to spend even more money.
