"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

But I'm proud of myself that I actually took action to kiss her and not wuss out of it!! :box:

Sorry for the randomness, but I feel like some guys here should be giving themselves more credit for their "failures". Some of these guys would not even take the risk if it was not for this site. So next time things don't exactly as you planned, at least you found out on your terms and not wait for "destiny".

But this is not an excuse to not learn from your shortcomings. Reflect on your adventures and maybe you'll have a story with a moral to tell the guys.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

You don't have to reward or punish yourself for what you did.

Try to think of women as they are. Try to think of them as untouchable experimental subjects. However they respond is fine. If she becomes avoidant you know what to do. You echo the process. If she closes in, you echo the process.

Try to analyze from this perspective. Don't try to reward yourself your for your failure, for there's no failure to begin with.

By the way, as far as kissing and then that being one and done, often a girl isn't really all that attracted to a guy but she enjoyed hanging out with him. In that case she will make out with him to see if doing so does anything special for her -- if it does then she'll see him again. If not, which is most likely going to be the case, that's it. Men confuse a girl's willingness to kiss as attraction, but that is backwards: men won't kiss a woman if they are not attracted to her physically; women might kiss a man they are not physically attracted to to see if there is attraction on a different level.

That's so weird  but thanks for sharing that. I am trying to understand escalation better because it seems like is the part of my game that is still dysfunctional.

And I meant that she started declining to just walk out of the room and get water with me, we were walking and she is trying to walk ahead of me to catch a group in front of us (there was no hurry to get anywhere), and she starts avoiding eye contact when before the kiss she was trying to catch my eye halfway across the room.

I played it off like the kiss didn't mean much and I was still able to have a convo with her afterwards so I could tell she wasn't completely creeped out. I then started talking to other girls right in front of her as a show that I could still get other girls if she wasn't down. She didn't delete me off of FB or nothing, so maybe I'll try again next time I see her. I'll DEFINITELY have to slow down my escalation and read her signs because everyone (real life and on SS) says that I go too fast.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
