I just had a very random thought about online dating profiles

I have a friend and she spends hundreds of dollars a month on her ecommerce website, on nothing but professional photography work for her clothing line. every new product she puts out she has to hire someone to come take multiple pictures just right



why don't guys who are DEAD serious about online dating.. **** if you're goping to do it.. do it right lol. get some professional photos taking by a pro. If you are in shape that should Kill the compeition

Pictures go a long way toward getting numbers and a date, but they don't sell you once you've met face to face; you better be able to back those professional photos up in real life.

I've always preferred to under deliver in the photos, and have my date be pleasantly surprised in real life. The results are much more desirable than when it's the other way around

I see where you're coming from but everyone knows the photos used for online dating are everyone's best pictures. I look through to find the girls' worst picture and assume that's what she really looks like. I use my best photos because it helps get that initial interest. I look pretty much exactly the same as the photos, and if the girl doesn't bail on the date within the first 5 minutes, you're all golden because she's already invested on meeting up. All you have to do is let your personality shine and show your DJ qualities. Then you can start escalating.

In terms of professional photos, maybe one would be good. Your main photo as a professional one and then the rest are you doing fun things. 10 professional photos from one shoot would just look weird and show nothing about your personality.

Someone recently posted that in online dating you are only as good as your worst picture (I can't remember who, but I did rep them for it) and it caused me to go back an re-evaluate my POF profile. I found that I had way too many pictures, and not all of them were great; I had selected some of them because of what they showed me doing, not how I looked in them. So I have cut back the number of pics and used only the best, and it seems to be helping on the hotness of the women I am attracting.

To the person who said they like to under-deliver , would you 'under-deliver' your skills to a prospective employer or client in the hope they'd be pleasantly surprised once they hired you? If not why would you do that for dating considering how many opportunities you've probably missed out on due to your 'under-delivered' pics?
