Same here. It is honestly a badge of honor for me now. It's a good excuse as to why I have no interest in being married again for a long time (or ever). But you are weak until you stand up to your father. Lying to him is not going to make him "happy". And let's hope he does not find out you did this or he'll lose whatever small respect he has for you.
