Ironically, by living the facade to save their feelings, you are doing far more in terms of empathy and good charitable will to your fellow humans than a very large percentage of religious people. Of course, without religion, you couldn’t possibly experience things like goodwill to your fellow humans as you need to have the threat of eternal torment to encourage those kinds of altruistic intentions.Sounds like a nice Father's Day gift to me.
I’ve sort of done a similar thing with my family/relatives. They are all under the belief that I’m a Christian (though in truth, I’m agnostic.) The reason is simple; should I die before any of them, I want them to have peace in their belief that I made it into heaven and not hell.
Agnostic too bro, the wisest position is to admit nobody knows, and no God would every judge you for such.
