Yeah right. I've gotten dates from facebook before so that can't be true, and back in the day my one friend met his wife on MySpace.

Well it was sort of a joke, but there is bit of truth in that old saying, (aka no girls on the internet):
1. ) Most profile pics doesn't equal or line up for a better word with reality. So many women that try to hide their real appearance on social media. Many pics are also fake and there is tons of fake profiles too for whatever reason and even scammers on top of that exploiting on weak men. OLD is really big shi't whirlpool of shi't with very little floating on top of that. So there is lots of filtering needed to really find something that isn't fools gold.

2.) Just because she say's a few words it doesn't mean that shes (he?lol), is DTF by default. It could just her being friendly and writing something back. But to be honest there is too little intel from that convo to really say "yes" or "no". You should ideally share some more so the guys here can help you analyze it.

I would be suspicious of someone calling you luv like that, sounds odd to me.

Send her another message and see if you can engage her in a simple conversation. If she does that then ask to meet her.
