I had no idea how little i was eating till i started counting

I've gone 90% clean and finding it hard to find sufficient calories
eating super clean.

for example so far today:

1.5 cups special k 200
1 cup soy milk 100
3 tbls skim milk(coffee) 17
1 egg 70
1 piece bread 60
about 2oz turkey 60
1 yogurt 100
whey 130
1 can tuna 100
1 bag pretzels 100
chicken breast 160
1 apple 80
bbq sauce 30
2tbl spoons peanut b 190


total 1397

thats it! no wonder i stalled out on increasing my bench.

If i throw a big mac in there thats 500 calories bang!

smh soy milk?! 1 egg? only one scoop of whey protein?

I'm flat broke and I ate more than you and this was a bad day for me

It went like this

breakfast

8 whole eggs
2 small sweet potatoes

meal 2
8 oz of ground round

meal 3
6 oz ground round + 2 small red potatoes

meal 4
will be at least 6-8 oz ground beef + olive oil drizzled on it and I got a gordita from around the corner I'll scarf down

Usually I'll have at least 150 grams of protein just from whey protein in a day plus 2-4 tbsp of peanut butter and at least 2 cups of oatmeal in addition to the above give or take a little.

You need lots of steaks/beef my friend, more oats and potatoes and whole eggs. Add some white rice+lean beef or chicken (at least 6-8 oz) post work out if you want something real cheap but effective.

What Carlitosway said. If you're trying to eat clean substitute coldwater fish (salmon, cod, etc.) for the steaks. Do it progressively and start by adding on the calories just after your workout when your metabolism is highest. Your metabolism needs to increase or you will store the extra calories as fat.
