"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Well, it was my birthday yesterday, I'm 25 now. :cheer:

A few of my friends take me out to a nice lounge here. It's packed, a few ladys, nothing crazy. We sit, we're having some aged whiskey, dom p, having a good time.

So, across from us are what I assumed to be a couple. A man, and a young woman. She was pretty cute, but I ignored her. Over the course of time, I noticed her lack of interest in the guy she was with. But, who knows. There could have been things I didn't know going on.

We're all social guys and we meet girls and guys, one of my friends is getting a massage from a really good looking older woman, maybe in her mid 30s... We're chatting it up with other girls, using our environment to build rapport, etc. Well, this girl noticed that we were all pretty cool and naturally gravitated to us. We all introduced ourselves to both of them. Everyone assumed they were together. It turns out they were just "friends" and have been for 6 years. Well, she's 26 and he's 38. So, basically he was a 32 year old man picking up a 20 year old HB. She's like an HB 7.5. I can only assume she looked hotter 6 years ago.

So she hears it's my bday and stats buying me drinks with her friend's credit card LOL. We're getting along really well and I figure I know the scoop, the guy really does want her but is an AFC and can't close the deal. So, I ignore him and thank him for the drinks.

I start laying the game on pretty thick. We start taking pictures together, lots of kino, she bites my ear, etc. This is where it all gets screwy.

I'm laying my game down and he gets furious, jealous, and he grabs her arm VERY AGGRESSIVELY (I didn't see this, I wasn't there for it, friends told me later). EVERYONE in the place is like WTF is this guy doing? So, I go back inside and I can tell she's irritated. So, I ask her to come outside with me to have a cigarette and she's incredibly happy that I pulled her out from that because it was awkward... I tried to explain to her the nature of men and why he's being the way he's being. Not that it's an excuse, but she can expect these types of things from AFCs if she hangs with them.

Well, I'm having a beer and it's not as much of a fun time, and he comes outside. He called her mother and told her to call the HB. And he tells me, that if I'm taking her home I need to speak to her mother LOLOL - I then pretty much was like, "yeah, um, no I don't think so" - and turned my back to him and walked away. I wasn't about to get involved with MOM.

So, my back's turned to the guy and I have my beer in my hand and he got so pissed off he sucker punched me from behind! I was shocked! I didn't get knocked out, it didn't really hurt... But shocking nonetheless. He takes off running! Security stops me, like I did something wrong and to stop me from chasing after him. My boys come by and are like "WTF Happened!?" And I said "He hit me" and as soon as I said that they RAN and chased him down lol.

I love my friends...

But anyway, one of my other friends takes the girl home (I didn't even get to close her!) - they actually have a mutual friend so, I'll have to talk to her and figure out more info on this guy. I might follow up with her and see if she can make up the screwed up situation to me ;) The cops came, took a statement from me, and I'm going to follow up and see if I can sue this guy. He needs to learn his lesson or something.

I was furious...

Moral of the story? BEWARE THE AFC.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

WJH was out celebrating his birthday with a few friends. A girl who was there with an AFC gave WJH more attention, and they seemed to hit it off. The AFC got pissed and sucker punched WJH when he was in the parking lot talking to the girl. It was a sissy punch and the guy took off, and WJH's friends went after him. Beware of the AFC. Also take note that he loves his friends.

Press charges. He assaulted you.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Wow, that's a crazy story man! This guy is 38 years old and behaving like that. Absolutely unbelievable. Can you imagine being in a mindstate like that? She's obviously his oneitis and he's an AFC at the same time who's being LJBFed to the point of violence. And then runs off like a p*ssy on top of that.

Hey what lounge was this by the way?

Come on, he was a harmless pvssy who couldn't even punch stright nor hard. It would cost him more money to take him to court since there was no real damage. I would let it go, it ain't worth my time or money for this guy especially since I am never going to see him again.

Your hands are not entirely clean either. You accepted drinks from him, the least you could have done is talked to him and not ignore his sorry ass (you recognised his AFC nature, why knee him even farther by ignoring him and bluntly take "his girl" away? it was bound to end like this).

Recognise situations and different opportunities when they come to you. There was no need to lay a heavy game that moment and try to close her for the night especially when Mr c0ckblocker was hanging around. You could have just asked for her number saying some sh1t to the both of them: "you guys are really cool, next time I am having an event i think i might invite you all with me again! -(then you turn to the girl and say) so what's your number??" and return to your party.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

I did this because I could. I spoke to him for a little bit about what he did and where he lived when we were indoors (when we first met). His anger and frustration are not my problem. He has no right to do what he did. HE lost control, not me.

I don't agree. He wasn't next to me when I was taking pics w/ her. He wasn't near me when she was biting my ear or when I was doing kino. Most of the time that I was laying it down he wasn't around. The only time he was around was near the time he sucker punched me. The rest of the time he was indoors. This was already after he had grabbed her fairly violently and was scaring her. He came outside to "take" his love interest, whether she liked it or not. That's pathetic.

If you don't want your girl "friend" being picked up on, don't take her out under the assumption that you think she's yours when she's very obviously not.

There's no excuse for his behavior. I didn't feel like completely rejecting myself because of a stranger's sake, and I shouldn't have to. His feelings were obviously too much for him to handle. He could have just left or met a new girl. But instead decided to take it out on me. Not cool and the mark of a true AFC.

I wasn't blatantly hitting on her in front of him when I first saw them. And, I can't control another man's feelings - it's not my business.

I'm not going to press charges because I've already won.

actully in this sense, you are no better than he is

you showed about as much tact as my 120 pound dog trying to sneak into the pantary, which isn't much.

Did he go to far? I"m not saying he didn't. I'm not saying his actions were justified... but take a step back and a DJ would have known, you had NO change in the least bit of succeeding by gaming her at that particualr time as dJ Damage said.

For whatever the reason may be... and even if the girl was into you... it doesn't matter.. save it with her for another day. you embarassed the guy. you made him look like a fool, a cukhold, because in his own little mind, he has a chance with her. Does he? who knows.. more than likely not.

it could have been the guys' birthday or what not.. you have no idea what's going on.. and here she is, this excuse for a woman buying drinks on his tab for your birthday.

another point.. why are you gaming a woman who shows no regard for other people?

Him= you in 6 months

How do you know he wasn't the guy doing hte gaming 6 years ago and another poor smuck was teh guy taking the blow by blows.

I'm not mad, and what you didn't wasn't technically WRONG.. but DJ's are supposed to be better than that. Resorting to overt, lack of regard for other people in a situtation because they have no since of tacfulness. In other words, If you were to game this woman... don't do it in front of a man who you knwo has the jones for her and has had it for 6 years.. what the fck did you expect to happen?

Nobody has mentioned the worst part of the story.

You never turn your back on an angry, emotional guy. If he was crazy enough he could have broken a beer bottle and went for the jugular.

Do you know how long it takes to die from a cut jugular? 2 minutes and after the first minute it is almost impossible to survive. An ambulance will not make it in time and the way people panic in an emergency nobody will be able to help you.

Do you know how long it takes to die from a slit throat (if your carotid artery is also cut)? under one min you will be unconscious in 2 more you will be dead.

Do you know how long it takes to die from a severed spinal cord? Almost instantly.

Do you know how long it takes to die from a broken neck (kind of the same as a severed spinal cord)? Almost instantly.

Do you know how long it takes to die from a choke hold? Unconscious in under 20 seconds and dead if he keeps holding on for another 2 minutes or possibly less.

An angry person is not rational they take any opportunity they have to hurt you. You never turn your back on somebody that is angry with you especially when they are being irrational (calling her mother). That was a very stupid mistake on your part. You should have stared him down and that would have game him few options, he could either walk away, back down or attack you. If he was brave enough to attack you with you facing him then he would be attacking out of anger most likely some overreached Rocky Balboa style swing which is easy to dodge and counter attack. Most likely he would just back off and/or walk away.

You can never give somebody like that an opening you have no idea what people are capable of. If you turned your back on me I could kill you in under one second, breaking somebodies neck is almost as easy as they show in the movies, you would be dead before you hit the floor.

Never turn your back on someone who is pissed at you. Next time you could find yourself with your head crushed as someone brings his knee down on it from a punch that knocked you unconscious. Like this guy:
http://www.videovat.com/videos/1280/felony-fights-knockout.aspx

As for the chick and how you "explained" how he is an AFC. Chicks KNOW that AFCs fancy them! They only pretend not to know to keep the AFC dangling because they know he hasn't got the guts to bring it up. They keep them around for an ego boost!

the last time I turned my back on a WOMAN who was pissed at me I ended up with a Glass VAse loddged in my head

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

This is definitely what I learned... I've never been in a pick up situation and had a guy get this overtly jealous/furious/etc. I didn't realize he was THAT angry. Partly because I had been drinking. I just didn't see it like that. I saw that he was at least a bit upset, and was thus calling her mother, etc. But I thought that was more ODD than it was dangerous.

What I SHOULD have done, in hindsight, was gotten her number and let the drama they had been dealing with ensue - it wasn't my problem. But, I also didn't know there was that MUCH drama going on (I didn't see him grab her arm)... I was just trying to have a good time. SHE was also coming on to me... It wasn't like it was just me being aggressive with her.

Nothing was telling me that he was going to be violent with me prior to him actually hitting me. It was odd, that he was acting the way he was, considering their 6 six year "friendship", but it didn't seem dangerous. The only hint would have been the point at which he grabbed her, but I wasn't around for that.

I guess another thing is, I was with some really dominant guys... My friends are not pushovers and together we typically ward off any violent guys. I felt pretty relaxed, it was my birthday, my guard wasn't up.

Like I said in my original post, BEWARE THE AFC.

In hell. I'm Satan's lover.
Take it to small claims, you can represent yourself and there's no way he's going to win with all the witnesses. Just make sure you don't let him use the provocation (quasi-)defense, make it clear he assulted you and took off without checking if you were okay. If he hires a lawyer or something he'll end up paying 1000's and could still lose.

Either way you win!

All good points.

Whenever you see a guy and a girl together, always assume that there is something going on because most likely there is (even though on the outside it can look like they are just friends , deep below the surface there is always something going on since we know that most men and attractive women cannot be bestest of "platonic" friends, since it goes against nature). Now it does not mean that you shouldn't game the girl, hell even if you know 100% the guy is her boyfriend you can still game her.

The only thing remains is: since you do not know the nature of their relationship you can't act like the guy ain't around. This sort of thing requires more of a "covert operation" - wiki definition: An operation that is so planned and executed as to conceal the identity of or permit plausible denial by the sponsor. For all you know this chick was playing both of you as fools and therefore you would know more about her and her intentions, if she gives you her number and you meet her somewhere else away from the c0ckblocker, the bar crowd and the drama.

You know you got lucky it was only a punch. People have been stabbed at and shot it for alot less and it won't matter if you got 100 guys with you, if someone wants to kill you they will hide their intentions until its too late.

You can never point to someone and say "yeah this guy looks AFC, while the other guy looks like a stable DJ he won't cause problems". Looks are often deciving, the most calm and cool looking guy in a bar can turn 180 degrees after a few drinks and having his woman being coaxed by other men.
