"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

i go out by myself for a cigarette. After im done smoking the bouncer wont let me back in, he tells me to wait 10 minutes because im too drunk. I come back in 10 and he lets me back in...later on in the night i go out for another cigarette with one of my guy cousins. After we're done, the bouncer tells us were too drunk and wont let us back in this time. My cousin argues with him, and i tell him we know the promoter...he says he doesnt care who i know...and he's not letting us back in. I stopped arguing with him because is not going to change his mind anyway. So i try to tell my cousin to go to the liqueur store with me across the street to get something to eat because hes not letting us back in anyway...so while im telling him to come with me and dragging him away as he tried to persist with the bouncer...and all of a sudden all i felt was....

BAM! BAM! I get sucker punched in the eye out of nowhere twice...now im kneeling down all dazed. The guy that punched me apparently ran off. As soon as i get my composure, i turn around and see my cousin about to get into it with these 2 other mexican guys about 6' tall. Apparently, they find someone getting sucker punched pretty amusing so they were laughing at me.

My cousin is yelling back and forth with one of them...Hes about to get into it with them so i see this and so i deck the one standing next to me...apparently security breaks this up and were on our way to the car... on our way i see this promoter guy again and i tell him i got sucker punched because security wont let me back in the club and blah blah..theres not much he could have done anyway..so i say fvck it and we continue to the parking lot to go home.

I end up going to the hospital later on and got the 2 cuts above my eyelid glued. My think they'll have two 1 inch long hairline scars...

There are some fvckin immature cowards at the sf clubs man...i dont think ill ever want to go to an sf club again for a long time.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

On the one hand that sucks man. I never understood why some people feel the need to pick random fights.

On the other hand, you have to admit there is a slight bit of irony here. You made a thread just this week about how you like street fight stories...

I could tell you not to drink excessively to avoid such confrontations, but that would be like an Illinois Governor telling you to be honest.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I was sucker punched bro. Drunk or sober it would have happened regardless. That dude was a straight coward.

..and just to clarify...the guy that sucker punched me ran off and the two guys we fought were laughing.

Dude, you got some kind of affinity with violence. Whether its with one of your family members or random club guys(albeit you didn't start it).

When you get in the scuffle, or recall a fight, you love to bring it up and post a thread about it on SoSuave.

You also love UFC, I love it too, but its kinda fuel to the flame.

I'm not a psychologist but I'm going to assume you like to get in scuffles and talk about random fights that you get in to temporarily inflate your ego and massage your manhood(I'm not talking about you dirty minded you).

Why not see what problems are hiding underneath all that fighting and drinking and clubbing?
Whoa!!.. no need to over analyze things Dr. Phil...I was just angry about what happened and needed to talk about it with somebody instead of keeping it bottled inside...keeping things bottled inside is unhealthy.

It would have never happened if i had a choice...but some times sh!t happens and you just have to defend yourself.

I think he hit you because you were drunk. Cowards like easy targets. It has happened to me, too.

So you picked a fight with two amused bystanders. You better stay in blue States bub, preferably big cities. If it was me being randomly amused you'd both be wearing toe tags now.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

How is he a coward if he sucker punches ?

That takes some balls to just deck a random person out of nowhere. Granted its stupid, but if you were a coward, u wouldnt' have the balls to do it.

Oh by the way, how come u always have so many fight stories ? U must rub people the wrong way

I gotta admit I also would have laughed if I saw that, I mean have you seen superbad when he gets sucker punched? I agree it does take balls just to sucker punch someone. Whoever said in fighting there ever was rules, When I get into a fight I never saw a referee. Get over it dude every dog has it's day.

My cousin asked why was he laughing and dude tried to square up with him.

And to that other guy...superbad was a comedy movie dude..so in that context, of coarse its funny. Hitting someones eye in twice and leaving him nearly unconscious is not...be mature man...

what if that happened to one of your family members right in front of you?? would you still think its funny???

Dumb question, but are you sure it wasn't the bouncer that punched you? Typically they nail someone in the kidneys and shut the door really quick so you can't fight back.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I was being honest on why I would find that funny. If that was to happen to one of my relatives I know for damn sure I wouldn't be writing about it on a forum. As I said before you win some and you lose some writing about this sh1t isn't going to rewind that moment deal with what happen to you. How can you call yourself a real man if you are constantly crying about it, wear your scars like a man.

Ken785 i agree with the answers you give, why is everybody always critizising every story that has happened. It sucks when something like this happens to you.

It definitely sucks to get sucker punched twice in the eye! But I have to say this is one of the funniest threads I've read on SS in months. I'm at work reading this trying not to burst out in laughter. Is it just me?? lol

It sucks, but if this sort of thing happens it's not always, but often a result of bad choices. "Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is Enemy Action." as they say, meaning that if this rare thing (random violence) touches you so much, maybe it's not so random in your special case ...

can i just say...huh???

this is the first time this has ever happened to me. I dont think im going to go out to clubs anymore for a long time...unless its a upscale club. Hole in the walls in bad areas are nothing but trouble.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.
