"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I find out tomorrow if her STD test is positive. How should I handle this situation?

Some girl I used to sleep with about a year ago went and took a full screening STD test and they emailed her back and told her to go in. She has no idea why they would call her in and so she thinks she may have an STD. She texted me and asked me if I had any STDs before and I told her no. She finds out tomorrow if her test is negative or positive. She's going to let me know. I think she is going to try to shift the blame onto me.

I need to know what to say to diffuse any conflict. After she tells me the results i pretty much never want to speak to her again. She has a boyfriend and im not into her at all, and before this incident we were both no contact simply because the fvck buddy arrangement was done. No conflict or anything. The logistics just didn't work out.

So what should I say to keep it quick and simple, and in one text. I don't want to enter a conflict with her but I also don't want to be blamed for giving her anything.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I understand that you probably want nothing more to do with this girl, but if she tells you that it turned out "positive", demand that you see a copy of the results in person. Do not rely on her word alone. Results can be easily doctored (Photoshop). The next move then to cover your @ss would be to get tested yourself. Stay silent until you see these results for yourself. Don't engage her in any more conversation than necessary. This is a very serious accusation, and if it turns out negative, then yes, don't communicate with this chick ever again.

And I know I'm probably repeating myself here, but if she's anything like those hormonal women with gaping machete wounds for a vag lurking around these here parts (I'm referring to Hollowsnatch and Pena, of course), then you really don't have much to worry about - they're all talk. Keep us posted.

From my own experience the sexual clinics call you in for your results over any minor sti. So I wouldn't worry, it is more than likely nothing serious.

If it was over a year ago surely you have been for sexual health check up yourself since then so you would know you have a clean slate?

Agreed that you should go check, regardless of what she says. And go regularly, sort of every 6months to a year, if you are with different women.

Put it this way, it's a simple blood test these days. Back in my late teens-early twenties, they also used to do a scrapey-scrapey swab from the INSIDE OF YOUR URETHRA. This was not only decidedly uncomfortable to put it mildly, but also quite humiliating, when your pecker shrivels to the size of a f*cking quail's egg out of embarrassment.

Lastly, if you were with her last year, you may well have had different women since. So for future reference, make sure you're only facing one awkward phone call only. Keep yourself checked up, and you can't be accused of passing anything on.

You know me narcissist, I'll tell you how it is. Let us know how it pans out.

Update: they called her because of a fvcking labeling issue. Her test was negative. Regardless i have an appointment on Wednesday. I have to make sure I don't have anything myself.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Basically she sent me a long paragraph saying she was sorry for accusing me (she only accused me because I'm known around my university for sleeping with a lot of girls) and how she was only called in for labeling issue. I just messaged back "thank you for the update"

If this makes you feel better, I slept without condom multiple times and knowingly with hiv and herpies girl, and still didn't catch a damn thing. Yes you should get tested yourself, now and in December.

I've always heard this too but never had it done, they just make me piss in a cup.

I don't know where you guys live but if you have medical insurance get tested the same time you do your annual physical exam with your doc! I don't know if all insurance is like this but I just pay co-pay & that's it. Last I checked I have sh*tty insurance too but it's still included.

Docs can be a pain in the ass as well if waiting for appointments and results but there are places you can schedule blood drawn next day & find out within 48hrs. $200-Google: stdtesting

Yeah, I had it done on more than one occasion, not f*cking pleasant, I can tell you. But to put everyone's minds at rest, they don't do it anymore as it's clinically irrelevant - like a throwback to the time they used to lobotomise the mentally ill...

Also @ Narcissist:

"she only accused me because I'm known around my university for sleeping with a lot of girls"

That's ma boi!! They obviously haven't been complaining then have they.... Good lad, keep a clean reputation and rock on
