I don't know what to do about my hair situation

I'm currently an NW2 with a thinning crown. My hair is wavy and dense enough to where I can still make it look very good but I know will lose more as I get into my 30s (I'm 29). Because of this, I just started finnasteride 3 months ago which helps like 90% of men maintain their hair. I was planning on getting a hair transplant in 2 months

the problem is I think I'm getting side effects - I can't seem to get 100% hard anymore. I still have a crazy sex drive and strong ejaculation but I'm only getting 80 to 90% hard. If I don't go n fin and get a hair transplant, I would probably need another one in 5 or 6 years - it's almost pointless.

My other option is I shave my head and grow a beard. I have great beard genetics and I'm darker skinned enough to pull it off but I look 35 to 40 with that instead of 30 like I do now.

What happens if I start dating a girl now and she thinks I have perfect hair but then I'm forced to shave it? will she dump me? women nowadays are crazy shallow (which I am shallow too)

Do I keep using the fin and hope the effects go away or maybe its just all in my head? I do masturbate way way too much. In the past, I was able to get very hard when I was having sex with a woman (much harder than while masturbating) but I have nobody right now to where I could at least test that. I don't know what to do

Dave talk to your doc about side effects and options to deal with that.

Also, it's hard to predict the reaction of some girl you haven't even met yet regarding your thinning hair. However generally speaking, most women don't see this as a deal breaker.

Beards are always good esp if you can grow a nice one.

All that aside, Dave, the preoccupation you place on your looks, and the looks of your ideal woman, is clouding over other values that are important in finding said ideal woman, like character, kindness, etc etc, and knowing that those values in you are also what she will be looking for, so don't focus so much on looking perfect that you forget about the other values you have to offer.

not only do I look older that way but I look heavily middle eastern

thick hair and no facial hair makes me look like a Spanish or Italian 29 year old. beard and shaved head and I look like a 40 year old Arab. My facial hair comes in very very thick

my complexion/skin genetics are about as good as anybody you'll ever find. My dad at 60 has better skin than lots of white women I see who are 35. He could pass for 40 if he was in shape

I don't disagree with what you're saying. I'm just not happy with myself without nice hair because I look so much older and look heavily ethnic

If you can’t grow a beard, you most likely have low testosterone and will have good head hair. Less testosterone means less DHT thatvit can convert to to kill hair follicles.

I used to believe the whole, “Just shave it” theory, but honestly, that’s “one size fits all” advice.

Some guys (with hair loss or thinning) actually look better with SOME hair rather than a clean shave. It could be a buzz or just a short haircut.

Nothing wrong with shaved. Shaved is cool, but I don’t think it should be a 100 percent go-to rule for every balding guy.

I can see mine too, I just accepted it. I look better now buzzed down rather than a thinning spot in front

If I shave my head, not only do I look younger that way but I look heavily Caucasian.

Thin hair and lots of facial hair makes me look like a German or Swedish 39 year old. No beard and full head of hair and I look like a 20 year old American. My facial hair comes in very very thin.

My complexion/skin genetics are about as bad as anybody you'll ever find. My dad at 60 has worse skin than lots of ethnic women I see who are 35. He couldnt pass for 40 if he was in shape

I just have regular crappy Caucasian hair genetics...I need to find a way to fix it.
