...and it feels damn good. Actually, I still care about a few important things, but I no longer care about stupid things like what people think of me, trying to conform to society's expectations, saying the "right" thing, getting the "right" job, driving the "right" car, etc., etc. I don't care about not having 100s of friends. I feel free for the first time ever. I'm becoming more laid-back and confident. I really like this feeling.

And one nice side effect: The chicks dig this attitude!! Lately, the women have been coming out of the woodwork and approaching me. I actually have a choice between a few different women, whereas in the past, I'd take anything that I could get.

Grow up. Grow some balls. Stop trying to impress everybody. Stop putting up a front.

Agreed...many people put what they want ahead of who they are.

Rather than spend your life trying to take actions which manipulate others into giving you what you want, develop a self-image and act based on who you ARE. Stop trying to control other people and worry about controlling yourself. Lead by example.
