I come back to SoSuave about once a month, take a look around, see a post like this, then remember why I don't post here anymore and why it is I don't have much to do with "the community" anymore. Simply put, "the community" is a euphemism for a group of nerds who sit on the Internet and theorize about women they have no chance of having sex with. I quit posting here when I realized that there was no discussion about women or getting laid, only arguments with nerds.

Simply put, fvck that! I found this place after my crazy BPD breakup, but I enjoy gender politics, endless internet drama, feminist bashing, male bravado, mildly dysfunctional people, and all the other things that make this site fun! There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with all your lives if you enjoy posting here and reading others posts and 'homosexual island' or whatever the fvck you're on about these days (compulsion is a different story but let's stay positive)!

Jesus Christ there's nothing wrong with being a nerd and taking it easy from time to time. 'Taking action' 24-7 will eventually burn you out and kill your libido anyway. When I'm in a good mood pulling is easy, when I'm in a bad mood it's a chore -- and it took a while for me to realize the issue was my feelings/mood, not looks, status, or game -- but the bigger issue is that when you're a good mood you're enjoying life, when you're in a bad mood you're not. FVCK chasing girls to notch bedposts or impress the "community", the issue is to do the things that make you HAPPY as a person.

Sex makes us happy! But so do things like surfing Teahuapoo or teenage vandalism or breakdancing or creatively lipping off snobby girls in clubs! No, I don't want to do a field report tonight! I want to write on the net and share cool links that cracked me up yesterday and see people b1tch at each other and see comments!

#1 Rule -- It's your life! Exert some fvcking individualism!

Here's a comment from Cpl. Nicole Zook, who has been involved in training Female Engagement Teams in Afghanistan. Phrases in this note about training such as "I put them through the wringer" go a long way toward explaining why these FETs seem to work. I'm impressed.

"I have trained female Marines for the FET teams here and participated in them, as well as participating in both Lioness-type search teams and women's engagement and medical teams in Iraq. The women who volunteer for these teams - and it is a volunteer effort - are some of the most physically and mentally strong, intelligent women the Marine Corps has to offer. They are also some of the most caring.

After finishing my tour of duty doing security missions in Iraq, I volunteered to train any willing Marines from my unit to prepare for the FET missions here in Afghanistan. There were ten. I put them through the wringer and held them all to an exceptionally high standard in their training. I ensured that they were well trained for the physical demands of combat missions, including crew-served weapons training, fighting, and self-defense; the mental demands of being a female attached to an all-male unit (there are plenty) and maintaining decorum among the sometimes unruly and rude men; and intensive cultural, language, psychology, and communication training to prepare them for interacting with the Afghan women. The Marines loved every minute of their training, even when I ran them into the ground, and asked for more. They are better trained than some of their male counterparts and they are participating in the program for all the right reasons.

There is a reason I bolded this quote. This is an all-female unit that interacts directly with Afghan women in order to perform what's known generally as best-practice counterinsurgency. There is no "feminist" b1tching about inequality in the military or a "hostile workplace environment" -- these girls are walking foot patrols in Helmand with anti-ambush training, while plenty of the guys who are "more physically capable" are too afraid to get out of their ****ing MRAP to talk to an Afghan.

I have plenty to say about feminism/victimization, but any of you who hate routinely on females need to shut the fvck up right now.

Lisa is giving me the results of the fortnight she's spent secretly spying on her boyfriend while he thought she was out of the country.

I'm slightly wrong-footed when Lisa tells me that her insanity has paid off. I was really hoping it wouldn't, so that the whole, terrible episode would at least serve as an example to others that, even disregarding the moral dimension, trying to trap a suspected cheater, and obsessional madness in general, is best avoided.
