Hey, I was exactly like you a while ago. You have to stop focusing on YOURSELF and thinking about YOURSELF when talking to other people. Let's lets you concentrate on the conversation by focusing on the OTHER PERSON.
It takes practice to have good convo, I'm not that great - i.e. I can't EASILY have convo with EVERYBODY. But I can have a great convo about 50-60% of the time.
Generally when you first meet woman, you're going to talk about boring stuff. "Where do you work?" "How long you've been working there?". Accept this as fact and ask those "boring"questions. She'll do the same.
Once you've got practice having a general convo about stuff that isn't too personal, you need to learn to open up a bit. Reveal little stories about yourself. More importantly, learn to make people open up there personal stories to you. This makes for more convo next time you meet.
One of the greatest tools you can use in conversation is humour. Humour is a universal thing. And if the two of you have the same sense of humour, you can have FUN together. She will remember that she had fun with you.
Get hobbies, etc. This increases the chances that you'll meet someone with the same interests. Also, try a be a little mysterious. Learn to answer he probing questions with a joke. Mystery attracts women.
And don't tell me you don't have a sense of humour. If you can laugh at someone's wise crack, then you have a sense of humour. Buy comedy CD's and tapes, watch stand-up comedy. Hang around funny people. You'll be amazed how their humour rubs off on you. Learn funny phrases, like e.g: I am very pale so I always like to joke: "I don't try and tan, I just try and neutralise the blue." (I think George Carlin was the first comedian to use that line. Comedians like to steal from each other

)
Most importantly, learn to love talking to people. Become curious about everyone. People are fascinating.
Enjoy!
