haha just thought I'd share this, so I was grocery shopping, as I was picking up things, I saw this pretty Asian girl (works there), I looked away as usual (pretend she doesn't existed) so at the corner of my eye, she was still looking at me and smiling, I looked at her again eye to eye, she was smiling at me...

and the reason I didn't approach her is because that that grocery place is like 40 minutes away from my house driving so I didn't bother talking to her :(

this things tend to happen when I am minding my own businese but when I really go out meeting people I always afraid to approach, in todays case, if it was at a place near my place, I would've approached her... :( :(

^^ i was just thinking the same thing. I used to do that all the time too. The old "I didn't approach her BECAUSE....." Excuses, it's all they are. Once you realize this is what you're doing you become more control of your actions, and therefore the outcomes.

Think of girls like this as practice. The odds of you seeing this girl are basicly zero, and you are not interested in anything from her. These girls are perfect for PU experence. Get their phone number, and throw it away in the nearest trash can while laughing to yourself. Seriously try it, its pure gold.

I live a 40 minutes drive from my school. Do you think that THAT is going to stop me from approaching girls?? Well, I have never approached a girl in school, but that's more or less because I only have 3 classes each week and don't even attend those most of the time ;).

Dude, 40mins a barrier??? No way

Use that so you can build anticipation for everytime the 2 of you meet up. I might get flame for this but gaming her over the fone is great since she is so far away it would build tension and anticipation since she has to wait til the next time the 2 of you get to meet up.

Also if shes in your area she might actually stay the night to camp there cos its so far away to go back home for the ride, providing your game is tight.

Also you can see other girls as she vaguely in the picture so its all an advantage.

Whatever rocks ya jocks dude its all up to you.

This is obviously for you, some progress, but think about it, you actually did NOTHING, you took no action whatsoever to influence the outcome, it just happened.

Apart from what everyone's saying about excuseitis, it betrays a faulty mindset. If you were focussing on it being fun and practice the issue of distance would not have come into it.

Maybe part of your lack of progress is putting all your money on every encounter. If you don't try you can't fail is the unconscious protection system kicking in.

The best thing you can do now is go out and talk to ten girls. The goal is to actually get all ten to reject you. As your goal is rejection becomes not a failure but a success. You need this at your stage of development to get over the fear of rejection.

My pet peeve with these 'girl was checking me out' posts is, so you can mind read can you. How do you know if you didn't talk to her?

I bet if you had a big spot on the end of your nose that you were self conscious of and a girl looked at you and smiled the post would have been 'Acne getting me down, girl looking at my spots'

If you ever want to be a man you've got to grow some balls, and there's no time like the present.

The reason you didn't approach her was because you were afraid to. There's no other reason for it - 40 minutes isn't a country away... and from the sounds of it, you definitely could have used the practice. If you're afraid to approach people close to your house, you're not going to instantly transform into a pick-up artist after you reach 30 miles from your home... If anything, you should have made every effort to approach - you could have tried any element of any conversation, gone on any tangent, tried anything you wanted (in terms of C&F, kino, mirroring, etc etc etc) without ever once having to worry about seeing the girl again... after all, she doesn't live near you! Why do you think so many one night stands happen on spring break when you go to somewhere like Panama City or Cancun!??!

The main goal isnt scoring all the time, no one can. Your mission is approaching, and talking. That is really the ONLY thing you can control. Dont get hung up on if she disses you, or give you the number. If you approached and talked, you reached a level of sucess, if you didn't you failed. So next time Man-UP and go talk to the creature that is smaller, slower, and more then likely weaker then you!
