"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Don't tell me to "read the bible," to "do approaches" or that crap...I've done it all. I'm not some wuss who just found this site. I've been here far too long to even post such a desperate question.

Well, not exactly...but at least for the past 3.5 months, and counting. Since I moved to a new town in Northern California, about 3.5 months ago, I have not as much as touched a girl. My biggest obstacle is not noticing one girl who is attracted to me.

I don't know what it was, but girls used to smile at me all the time, wave at me, even say "hello" and initiate conversation without even knowing me. I also did initiate things myself many times.

Unfortunately, this played into my ego a lot, and when I first moved here it was really frustrating when absolutely no girls checked me out and I felt like I was purposely being ignored. I got over that and realized ego is stupid, so I don't care any more, but girls here still seem snobbish, and haughty, and seldom receptive to conversation. Even ugly fat girls don't look my way. I mean, I am seriously starting to wonder what is going on?

When I was in Southern California, it seemed girls were much more open, and not "embarrassed" as it seems here, about their sexual desires. I visited SoCal about two weeks ago, and I noticed exactly the opposite of this. You can chat up girls in the grocery store, at the bus stop...it's normal and they don't look at you like you're trying to steal their money or something. It's almost as if the girls in my town have their b!tch shields as high as the wall of China before I even open my mouth.

I am seriously contemplating moving down South sometime in the near future because...sure, the pleasures of my life are not determined by pvssy, but I don't want getting pvssy to be such a stress or effort when I could be missing out on it elsewhere. And I have a busy life...I really don't have time to "think" about how to get laid. I am a confident (and perhaps attractive) man...with pretty darn good social skills, a well-paying job, fun personality i'd say, and tons of extras, lol...damnit, I should be getting laid anyway. (and I'm in college, gosh)

Am I really wrong here? Is unwavering eye contact, smiling, waving...body language...are those not all universal tell-tale signs that someone likes you? And if so, how the heck have I not noticed one girl do that in the last 3 freaking months of living here?

Sure I initiate conversation just for sake of conversation also. Lots of times, with lots of different people. And I'm not going to just try to "get into a girls pants" or con her with any methods of seduction. I've never had to do any of that crap...

...I've just found it mind-boggling that I've gone from girls being all over me, literally, to girls not even looking at me. It really seems like the girls here dress really sexy to impress guys, but when you go talk to them, they act asexual, and soo boring without any personality, like they're being forced to talk to you.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Go check out Pacwolves Small town Sarging post http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=85237

It just takes time to warm up to your surroundings you'll find your "MOJO" soon enough...

Where u at in NorCal maybe I can help you get the ball rolling?
Thanks for that thread, I'll read more into it later...seems like it would be a good read anyway.

I'm in San Luis Obispo. Not exactly NorCal, but Central probably. About 3hrs from SanFran, and 4hrs from LA, smack dab in the middle. It's on the coast though, and only minutes from the beach.

You ever been?

Like I said, I get a totally different vibe from the women here, than I did in SoCal. It's just strange...

Yea I've been there...had some friends who went to school there...and it's totally not NorCal it's Central Cali....I'm up in Chico ....that's NorCal....

And really from what I've found is that there are a lot of SoCal influences in and around that town...kinda like Santa Barbara in a way..

If you just get out and about you'll do fine... Keep your SoCal attitude but tone it down some as people aren't as b*tchy in that area

uh...Okay?

I've been pretty much doing this...getting out and about. Nothing has happened.

One point to make is I don't go clubbing any more, or drink, or stay out late. I'm sure that plays into the not getting laid part somewhat, but it still doesn't explain lack of attention from women in everyday, normal interactions.

I also have a pretty busy schedule, with little time to really establish any conversations with girls, other than very occasionally. For example, on any given day, I'll wake up early, go to class, run to catch the bus to work, go back to campus and to class, go workout, go study, go home and eat, then sleep. It doesn't leave much time to socialize or actively make an effort to find friends. And when I do have free time, I usually kick back and watch sports with my roommates, or read, or indulge in my hobbies. Although, this practice of making myself extremely busy is somewhat because I've come to accept not having a dating life, so I figured I'd do something with the extra time and make myself productive.

The times that I do get an opportunity to initiate conversations...I have, but really didn't establish much in that allotted time to take things farther.

And I'll be honest, so far since being in this new town, I have only asked one girl for her phone number, and I got it from her but never called her. I'm usually not someone to "get" numbers...rather I'd like to establish a connection and have them offer it. But it seems like even the initial sparks don't happen at all.

I don't know. Maybe by SoCal's standards girls find me more attractive or something. They would literally stare.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

You're either looking to hard and missing them or not looking hard enough and still missing the attention that you're getting.

I can't really say what's going on or what you're missing when you go out because I don't hang out with you but even though you're schedule seems busy you still have time to do approaches and/or converse with girls you see around you...

On the bus,
on campus,
at the gym,
at the library when you're studying,
that cute girl at the restaraunt you eat at....

There's always an opportunity to find girls even when it's not a priority at the time.

Hope that helps clarify things for ya....

Dude, SLO is SoCal, not NorCal, not even Central Cal.

I've spent time there and in Santa Barbara, and I can tell you, it's all in your head.

Swallow ur pride and start approaching. I know thats not what you wanna hear but theres no easy way to this.

Fact - Your not getting attention from honeys in your current situation.

Nothing you do besides being active and doing approaches is going to change that situation.

You want a dating life? Do what im doing, start a bootcamp and GET OUT THERE SON!

I just moved and i dont know a gotdamn soul. How do you think i feel? I cant sit around and wait for someone to "notice" me or open a convo. you gotta initiate that interaction.

You also appear to have the game flipped, you think that talking to a girl with the intent of banging her is conning her out of her punani? I mean seriously, thats the ego right there feeding you those thought. The ego is telling you that you are too good to put it in the work, drop that thought process.

Okay, well I guess if you all say it's all in my head, then if I put in some effort to make things happen I should start getting something...

fine, ^ Julian, I'll do a "bootcamp" then.

We'll see if this is really all in my head or not. I honestly don't think it is, but then again, I guess I have nothing to lose really.

btw, by "bootcamp" what do you mean? I've read through the DJBC and I don't think the eyecontact and saying hi and smiling thing is necessary. I'll just jump ahead to initiating conversations with girls I don't know as much as possible.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I'm willing to be it's cus you're out of practice.

You haven't been to the approach gym in a while so therefore your 'social muscles' are starting to atrophy from disuse, do another approach journal or ya, do a bootcamp. Girls can tell when you're desperate or out of play and therefore won't be as warm to you. You got approached all the time back in NC because you were constantly focusing on gaming and people sensed that. Also, check out sapiens post below. I know you think he's full of s*** but all that stuff about trying to find the Truth in everything really spoke to me. Yes we know these things cus we hear them all the time but do we TRULY use this knowledge effectively? I've read the DJB like 5 times but that was like a year ago, I want to be able to recite the parts of it that apply to my problems, which I can't do right now.

I think you're right. It makes a lot of sense actually, along with what Julian said. I have to get off my ass to see results. No more excuses. I'm sick and tired of this.

I know I called Sapiens writing BS...but I feel that was ego talking. No more bull**** ego...I'm here to learn and learn only.

I feel like when I used to be here, a lot of what I said was fueled by ego...I'm trying to get rid of that as much as possible.

I just checked the link to his site...looks like great stuff: https://sapiensbootcamp2006.pbwiki.com/2ndPage#TheBasicBasicsDay2TimeManagementJanuary172006
