"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I can't eat like I used to - any advice?

My [now ex] girlfriend of 4 years and I have been having problems for the past 3-4 weeks and just recently ended it. During those weeks, I have found it very difficult to eat like I used to and it is affecting my weight. I've lost about 10 pounds in that amount of time!

I try to eat, but when I start eating I get full very, very quickly. Once I get this full feeling, even chewing any more food makes me feel like vomiting. But I know I am not really full because I will be able to eat again in an hour or so.

I am not sitting around moping about our breakup, instead I am hanging out with friends all the time and going out "sarging" to meet and pickup new girls. The problem, however, still persists.

A side effect of this is that I cannot workout, play sports, or exercise properly. I simply do not have enough energy; I get burnt out and light headed very easily.

I am 6'1" and weighed 175lbs at my peak. Before this started, I weighed about 168lbs and now I'm down to about 158lbs. I would like to start eating a ton again so that I have the nutrition and energy to build my muscles back and hopefully get up to 180-185lbs.

Any suggestions on how I can eliminate this feeling and start consuming a lot of food like I used to?

Thanks!

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Sounds like you are depressed. Depression as a result of break up can lead to loss of appetite.

The best way to do so is jump right back to the routine of things. You said you stopped working out because you are burned out?! well I suggest that even if you are tired to at least try working out for a bit. This should kick start your body and it would demand a greater quantity of food. You should also start to increase the amount of meals you have in a day but in smaller portions. Don't stop eating when you feel full but stop when you feel a little bit more hungry and then eat another meal 2-3 hours later.

DJDamage is probably right but it still can't hurt to see a doctor to rule out a physical cause.

If none can be found the regular doctor might prescribe you anti depressents or refer you to a psychiatrist or counselor at which point you can ask them to first try regular therapy with you before taking any anti depressants if you hate drugs of any kind as much as I do.

Stress and high blood pressure my friend. There's a series of biochemical responses in your body(insulin, cortisol, etc) that can do strange things including loss of appetite.

You're in a transition period right now, and your mind and body--whether you are aware of it or not--is trying to adapt.

I had a pretty rough summer with a lot of change, guess what? I put on 20lbs in like 2 months. With the help of workouts, atleast not ALL of it was fat :)

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

The best way to elimate this feeling you are having is this....deal with the pain, don't try to escape it, recover, and then grab your balls like a man and eat dammit.

Don't work so hard trying to get another girl, relax, live your life, concentrate on yourself and family. By you trying to get other girls, failure will only make it worse.

DO guy $hit...do things you love, discover or learn something new. One of my favorite hobbies is 'urban exploring'...i live in NJ and there are abandoned mental hospitals, caves, nursing homes, that me and my friends conquer and explore late at night. Let me tell you, its fun...just um...don't get caught like some of my idiot friends.

Well, I think it was just a time and coping issue. I was never sulking or anything, but the loss was always in the back of my head.

I feel a hell of a lot better now, have started working out again, continued hanging out with friends, have continued meeting new girls, and can now eat to a normal full feeling without the sick-to-my-stomach feeling.

I can't yet eat like I used to, probably because it has been a while and my body has adjusted, but I am slowly working my way back up to get it used to large amounts of food again.

Thanks for the replies!
