Egoist
Master Don Juan
Sorry this came out long, guys.
So there is this girl who sort of works with me (but neither of us is ever there, so we don't see each other at work much, like once every two weeks maybe). When we do see each other, there is this tension, light flirting, but definitely tension. It's been there since the first time i've met her. I've noticed it a few times, but I never acted on it because I have my hands full and if I went for her it would be complicated for many reasons. I also don't do ANYTHING to give her a reason to believe that I am interested except for talk to her once in a while, be nice to her, etc.
So she is at our company holiday party, and she is with her boyfriend. I am just there with friends. Throughout the party, she leaves her boyfriend multiple times to dance with me. EACH TIME she initiates the dance, including a couple of slow ones. She does not approach any other guys for this, just me. I am my ****y self throughout, so i literally ask her whats up with her dancing with me instead of the BF (acting clueless and all) and she says something along the lines of "well, he doesnt wanna get up and dance" even though he did dance with her some.
When pictures of people were taken, she literally got up from her seat next to her boyfriend and made me take a picture with her. In front of everyone. As a matter of fact, about 5 separate people told me like "what the hell is going on with her dancing with you" and "im scared her bf is going to kill her when they go home" If i was her boyfriend, I'd be mad as hell at her.
I've been the "other man" before, and i didn't like it. I even have a personal thing against the women that attempt to change relationships midflight. So i am not sure where this is going to go. But that evening pretty much confirmed my hunches that this girl likes me. I am 100% sure that if i wanted to, i could take her from the BF just like that. And at the same time i know i am not going to do that, i dont need the drama and the headaches. But i've heard from other people that she is thinking of leaving her b/f, etc... And if that does happen and she persists on being her charming self, i don't know where it would go.
Regardless, its a weird situation. The main problem here is that this girl is one of the cooler chicks i've met. Hot, smart, very sexy, fiercly independent, successful, and just the right mix of bad and good girl. She makes most of the recent chicks that I've picked up or slept with feel cheap and tacky. I dance with tons of girls every week, and she's the first since my last LTR ex who felt, well, 'worthy'. If i was still my AFC self, i would be totally having a crush on her. But since im a learned man, i keep my feelings in check. But I am a sucker for tension and long term seduction. I've had a history of screwing around with lesser chicks when reeling in the really good girls everyone wanted through a drawn out long process. I also know that if she keeps playing her game, I will be more likely to go for it because.. well... its the sort of a conquest I enjoy.
so here are my questions:
-am I wrong in taking the party thing as a real (and a pretty ballsy) sign of interest?
-Should I totally let her play her cards and see what happens? Keep myself in check and still not give her any IOIs?
I guess my main problem is that I don't know what to do with her. I'd feel like an ass if i caused her to break with her BF and then drop her a few weeks later. At the same time, my hunter instinct is kicking in and I just wanna take her.
