"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

okay guys, im in a pretty rough situation right now.

some background info:" my girlfriend's parents are extremely overprotective chinese parents, they wont let her daughter date any guys until she is 25 (she is 18), and will do everything to stop her from having boyfriends. I am 17, we are both doing our final year of highschool, we have known each other since we were 14

Two days ago, my girl and I met up to have our sweet, romantic date, not knowing that her mum set up one of her friends to follow us. The stalker took pictures of us together, and when she went home later that day, her mum confronted her and afterwards, cut off her cell phone, grounded her (for the remainder of this year), and i suspect cut off her internet as well today.

Her parents are definitely pressuring her to break up with me right now. The thing is, we love each other deeply (I know i am still young, but i want to spend my life with her). I do not want our relationship to end right now, it would one of those things that we will regret for the rest of our lives.

gosh my mind is all over the place right now... i want her to be in a good situation with her family, and i want to still be in the relationship with her, im afraid she might succumb to the pressure from her family, because she is an obedient and nice girl. >_<

another thing i forgot to mention, her parents and my parents are actually business friends/partners. And they have known each other since about 4 years ago, so her parents knows me pretty well and knows that i am a kind, intelligent guy with a bright future. Her parents also liked me quite well before.
any help would be appreciated!

p.s. i wont 'next' her, we have had passionate monkey sex lol (it means a lot to both of us)

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

She'll probably break up with you... but there's not much you can do about it, its nothing to do with being a DJ, just strict parents...

I can kind of see their rationale for stepping in... you're both young, right now is an important time to develop yourself academically and learn about who you are, if you hook up with someone too young then you miss out on this experience, and in some cases set about seeking those things you missed out on in later life... you kinda live life backwards...

The best approach you could possibly take is to acknowledge what I've put forth in the above paragraph to show the parents that your head is screwed on and that the most important thing is each of your individual goals, but as an aside you enjoy spending time with each other and think that it would be counterproductive to split up anything other than naturally...

Its not guaranteed to work, sometimes parents will be deadset against it, and will do everything to make sure things don't continue, but this is the only approach that has any chance of working...

It won't be the end of the World. The chances of the relationship working (even with the full support of the parents) is very very very low.

Now, it can be the end of the World if you act stupid and start hurting people (like that moron that killed his girlfriend's parents and now has LIFE in prison without the posibility of parole).

Seriously buddy, I think you should try to talk with her parents, without their support you wont be able to continue your relationship anyway and maybe your courage will make them reconsider.

Get some nice clothing and a good haircut, bring flowers for her mother.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Doesn't matter...

You can find their reasons in my first post... as you can see they don't have anything to do with personal qualities
