Huge argument, how do I play it

Having this argument with a chick I've been dating for awhile and it has me seething right now. It's over a comment she made about me that pissed me off..
I probably should have just dropped it but I'm looking for an apology.
I started calling her a stupid ***** etc. I guess there is no way that she would apologize now but it still just pissing me off.

Do you ignore when they say something offensive? Do you keep cool?
