Accension here, new to the forum not the game.

How do you start your day?
This is the question I recently asked myself, the more I thought the more I realised that how you go about your day either makes for a good one or a bad one no matter what plays of fate are made.

The waking of a man.
Ideally a man wakes well rested and refreshed having gone to bed at suitable times.
He'll then tend to his bedroom, fixing his bed which is a good habit to get into.

Before you even start your day.
You should be absolutely pumped and charged at todays opportunities.
With set goals in place one has things they could actually achieve today and go to bed at the end with a feeling of accomplishment, that little bit more confident in yourself.

Fix up your hygine, washing up well to prepare for a solid day with the best start possible.
Have a decent breakfast. I'm talking slow burning carbohydrates not sugar packed rubbish.

Before you leave your house whatever happens today is completely up to you, don't leave dishes in the sink to dirty your mood on return.
What ever has held you back in the past leave it behind because when you step out that door you're not the man you were 5 minutes ago and you won't be the same man you were after reading this.

The above paragraph is an important concept, the present is truely what defines us. The past may have shaped us but what we hold onto in the present is who we are.

Day to day bustle.
You're outside, feeling the breeze of opportunity and it's now you can shape something new for yourself.
The walk to school or work, bus trips and inbetweens, standing in ques, sitting at your desk. What ever the occasion I can almost guarantee that females will exist around you.

I see all these guys going out their way sarging when there's really no need.
Those same guys tend to pass up opportunities when they're not sarging.
You aren't that guy.

Instead you are going to socialise.
Don't use the term 'game', 'sarge', 'pickup', whatever. It just puts you in the wrong state of mind.
All you are doing is socialising and there's nothing wrong with that.

Say your hellos, make your small talk and have fun getting to know new people.
This'll open doors for you.
You can choose to walk in and get her number but regardless, you are opening doors and eventually you are going to end up in a new place experiencing the very things you probably came here in the first place to do.

I tell you what, if you just read this. Nothing happens. Those doors will neither be shut or open.
They won't even exist.

The sleeping of a man.
Your day is finished and hopefully you made it a good one, if you can sit down at the end and say you didn't miss an opportunity.
That you ignored the negatives and didn't let them affect you.

Then you probably had an awesome day!

To make tomorrow just as promising, ask yourself what do you want from tomorrow and when that day comes.
Live it.

Everyday is another chance to do what you couldn't do yesterday.
Accension out.

Excellent post, Accension.

This is the kind of practical reminder we need more of here. I guarantee you, a few guys will yawn and say, "I've heard that before", but they are blind to the paradigm you have articulated here for day-to-day living.

I am printing this now and will keep it in a prominant place for a daily reminder.

+1 Rep points for you.

Great post Accension. One thing I would suggest to add to "Before you even start your day" would be to do a small workout of some sort (this can be as little as some push ups and sit ups if you like), it gets your body going and can take only a couple of minutes.

See I miss the days when I used to work from 8 am to 4 pm, but now I work from 4pm to 2am so I have time to go to school during the day. Since there's no school since it's summer, I get a good nights sleep but I don't wake up til like 11AM even if I go to sleep by 3AM (which is pretty good considering I'm leaving work at 2AM.) I actually am more productive when I DO have to wake up for class, because I'm put into "go-mode" earlier in my day. However, I usually have to nap during each day before I go to work, but that's not so bad.

Excellent post bro. Socializing is all it is :) No need to complicate things, you hit them right on that. Sounds like you're an organized guy that's got his life together. Good job :)
